George was beating very very little in terms of quality lets cut to the chase. When you have guys like the below running around putting on brilliant displays vs quality opposition 80's George is not even in the conversation - Saad Muhammad Wilfredo Gomez Aaron Pryor Thomas Hearns Chacon/Boza/Limon/Nav Sugar Ray Leonard Davey Moore The list is endless. Tyson's late 80's run might be the most exciting by a heavyweight ever. It competes with any weight actually. It's certainly the most electric of the 80's in the heavies if not all weights. Foreman was electric in the 70's not the 80's.
The question is not about the quality of oposition is about action. And foreman in the late 80s stopped anybody that he fought.tyson did not face great opposition in the 80s so you change your argument according your convenience
Tyson faced a hugely better mob than George in the 80's. Jesus, he cleaned out the division in no time.
Foreman beat the likes of Dwight Qawi, Bert Cooper and Everett Bigfoot Martin during the late 80s. You saying that’s doesnt top any opposition that Tyson faced in the 80s?
The question I have is given the number of fantastically exciting fighters around in their primes in the 80s, what makes Foreman stand out?
Yeah Berbick, Thomas, Spinks, Williams, Bruno, Tucker, Smith, Tubbs etc etc etc have nothing on those guys.
