The catch is that the obvious answers aren't allowed. The Limon, Boza, Little Red etc, fights aren't allowed. This thread is for the lesser known School Boy fights.

What are your favourites? I like the Frias fight.

I can't find his fight with Martin Guevara, but I'd like to see that one.

I was going to say Frias too; he didn't have a lot left at that point except heart. What a heart though...….

Hayes was a pretty good fighter. Better than his record suggests

Maybe the Chucho Castillo fight. Castillo by then couldn't offer much and looked like a small child in stature next to Chacon, but it exemplified Bobby in the full bloom of his young talent and promise.

Does the Ray Mancini fight count? I don't think that fight gets mentioned enough but that was a very entertaining fight that only lasted for 3 rounds.

Not seen either, so I look forward to seeing these. :p

I also had never seen Moreno before you mentioned him in the southpaw thread yesterday. I watched the Darchiniyan fight this morning and I was very impressed to find out he had 10+ title defences too. To me, he seemed like a less talented, but also a less temperamental Zapata. Very cool fighter, look forward to watching more.

Glad to be of service. Can't go wrong with Bobby Chacon fights, every fight that he was in was just pure excitement from start to finish.

Moreno is definitely a treat to watch, especially if you enjoy watching Whitaker and Zapata. Let me know what you think of him when you have the time to watch more of him. His close fights with Abner Mares and Shinsuke Yamanaka are very fun to watch. The 2nd Yamanaka fight was a WAR.

Take away Limon and Bazooka and that’s half his career — seems like he fought one of them every other week.

Thanks for those. Yeah, Chacon is probably the most ententaining fighter ever. I mean, he's in three of my top 10 fights lol

Will do pal. Got the Yamanaka and Sydorenko fights cued for the next few days. His story sounds pretty nuts too from what the commentators were saying.
