He must be wishing he never took the GGG fight! That fight completely ruined Brook.

Really miss the Friday night, domestic dust ups. Any chance they ever come back?

David Price, Jamie Moore, Michael Jennings, Derry Mathews haha, I remember it was a big shock when the little Choi fella battered him from pillar to post! Then that Martin Lindsay ko.... ooof.

Kevin Mitchell although, what a fight he put up vs Linares. A bit unlucky but them punches were caused by punches so fair.

Channel 5 and Big Mick are our only hope, even if Hearn tried it he'd make a hash of it with 30 year olds being billed as Next Gen and 90/10 fights.

I think a lot of it comes down to the backing. Watch Charlie Edwards and Andrew Selby fights, one became a World Champion, the others life is in a complete mess after his career didn't just go off the rails but off the bridge and into the river. Only one was exciting to watch and it wasn't the one guided with Hearn money.

Yep I always wondered why Hearn or Warren never signed Andrew Selby and Fred Evans.

Swifty smith, honestly thought he was going all the way but fell short at world level by quite some way.

with regards to napa i always thought as ridiculous as it sounds that he was far too small at fly and should of been at least a weight division lower and he certainly had no business up at banter.

But theres obviously no money down at them weights which is why he did what he did.

Andrian Kaspari,he did got a title shot vs Tim Austin but fumbled badly(his bad fundamentals ain't helping that much),but he did held an IBF international super bantamweight title at least.

When you look at what Bellew went on to achieve, and considering they both started out at the same time under the same promotional banner and trainer, it's hard not to look back and say what could have been for Frankie Gavin.

Same with Kirkland Laing, both beautiful boxers who lacked dedication and discipline and were way above anything someone like Bellew had in terms of talent and ability.

Yet, just like Freddie Roach once said about James Toney, if he had the discipline of Manny Pacquiao, he would have been the greatest fighter of all time.

Many great careers and World Champions in some cases on my list including; Scott Harrison, David Price, Arnie Farnell, Martin Bakole, Chris Eubank Jnr, David Haye (at heavyweight), James de Gale, Audley Harrison and Kell Brook spring to mind.

I get your point and I am a big admirer of 160 / 168 Toney, but he would have still lost to RJJ when they boxed whether he was weight weakened or not. He also lost to McCallum IMO. Pleased he went into IBHOF with Jones and Cotto 3 years ago. Throwback fighter.

Frankie Gavin took to the pros about as well as Audley did. He was an awesome amateur in Chicago 2007. Massive waste of talent.
