http://www.sports.nd.edu/exhibits/winkexhibit/winkmenu.html some great photos on there, including the Armstrong one. The pic of Tiger Flowers speaks a million words. Tiger died young at at 32, so to think he was probably in his late 20s in that pic is crazy. He been in a lot of wars in the ring.
I have two... This content is protected My favourite Boxer of All-Time, and my joint favourite picture. This content is protected And the GOAT, and my second joint favourite picture.
My favorite boxing related picture is the one of Rocky Marciano that was snapped just as he was delivering the KO punch to Jersey Joe Walcott in the 13th round of their title fight. I've seen too many great fighters to single out just one. They were all unique in their own way even though they practiced the same profession.
No, he didn't. Ali often let himself slack in his 'easier' fights. He is the greatest, but that let him down.
I think this was after zaire especially, I could totally get why he had the feeling he had nothing more to prove.
Yea, obviously you could see he put in everything when he needed to, for Liston and Foreman but he let himself down training for Norton. There's an old quote somewhere from Dundee I think which relates to this.
