Yes you did say that. I'm a bit OCD tho and was keen to have a go. Most of mine are from my era too. We are in the same boat via the appreciation comment. There's so many i liked, Sanchez, Boza, Chacon, Spinks, Pintor, Duran............
A couple more to add in: Lightweight: Juan Manuel Marquez He may have only had four fights at the weight and he may have been better at Featherweight and Super Featherweight (it’s debatable) but I started being a fan of his when he became a lightweight and he beat Casamayor and Juan Diaz, plus his fight against Katsidis was outstanding as well. This was also before he got ridiculously pumped up and started competing at a completely unnatural weight class for him at 147. Middleweight: Mike McCallum I nearly put ATG Marvin Hagler down but I really enjoy watching McCallum’s performances at 160. His ledger is pretty good too: wins over Kalambay, Herol Graham and Steve Collins and the draw against James Toney. I thought he deserved a draw in the rematch too despite the wider scoring for Toney. He might have been better at 154 but he was never edging out Tommy Hearns at that weight for me and I enjoy watching his middleweight fights a bit more, so I found a slot for him here.
Weight classes get tricky with the way fighters jump around weight, so I'll just put the main 8 classes, and my favorites around those weights. flyweight: Roman Gonzalez bantamweight: Naoya Inoue featherweight: Danny Lopez lightweight: Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. welterweight: Vergil Ortiz Jr. middleweight: Mickey Walker light-heavyweight: Archie Moore heavyweight: Jack Dempsey

It's exactly that John. Having not watched them live, I can't say I have favourites as such. So I decided to base my historical list on who I thought did the greatest work in each division, they're my favourites in that respect, I suppose. The favourites I watched live list, is based on who I supported/wanted to win or enjoyed watching the most, though.
Heavyweight - Joe Frazier Cruiserweight - Evander Holyfield Light Heavyweight - Bob Foster Super Middleweight - Roy Jones Jr. Middleweight - Marvin Hagler Junior Middleweight - Thomas Hearns Welterweight - Sugar Ray Leonard Junior Welterweight: - Meldrick Taylor Lightweight - Julio Cesar Chavez Super Featherweight - Alexis Arguello Featherweight - Naseem Hamed Super Bantamweight - Marco Antonio Barrera Bantamweight - Carlos Zarate Super Flyweight - Naoya Inoue Flyweight - Dave McAuley Light Flyweight - Humberto Gonzales I don’t know if they can be all be considered my single favourite fighters in each division as I have so many but I would say they are the most notable ones that come to mind at the moment when I think of fighters that I really enjoyed watching over the years whether live or on film in their respective divisions.
