Well I saw a diet example on here a few days back of a guy consuming about 1000 calories per day while training. Obviously while training this is not enough. I'm a fighter of 5ft5, 126lbs and I'm 14 years old. I eat at least 2500 calories a day but I am lean.

I was wondering what everyone's favourite foods are and why? Hopefully this post can educate some of the people like the case I mentioned above.

My favourite food is a wholemeal peanut butter snadwhich as it conatins good amounts of protein, good fats, fibre and decent carbs.

My favourite meals are nutrient bombs like veggie soup, smoothies, dishes with shitloads of healthy ingredients like chili con carne, things like that. See the nutrition thread for more. The guy on the 1000 cal diet does not want to be helped, he'll lose his first fight because he'll be unable to train.

If you're going to make comments like that, then why even bother coming onto the thread?

I think home made smoothies are my favourite..Which is good because if it wasn't for them i wouldn't eat anywhere near as much fruit as i should..

Oatmeal with blueberries and a bit of honey.

    Sweet potato.

Shake with water, ice, chocolate protein powder, 1 banana, peanut butter, oatmeal.

I went from 14 stone on that diet to 13.2 in a couple of days...

Shot right back up though to 13.8,

Think i'll read RDJ'S thread and figure something out a bit more long term! Hell it felt good seeing the scales at 13.2 though!

That's the thing about crash diets, you really can't sustain them long term. Well good luck, and hopefully you get your diet sorted out.

You lost water weight. Probably had something to do with the water restriction you had in your diet.

wholeweat pasta, tuna, sweetcorn, tomato+basil sauce, pepper.. i make a big dish of this once a week and eat for lunch every day.

sushi w brown rice is also great. i go for 2 rolls (4 pc each); 1 roll salmon avocado, 1 roll spicy tuna.

of course salads are great too, a favourite of mine: feta cheese, chicken, peppers + lettuce.
