Carl "The Cobra" Froch was one of the most exciting warriors in recent memory, and he left us with an amazing legacy of fights Which was your personal favourite?
I enjoyed most of Carl's fights. The Bute fight stands out for me.Very dangerous fight and Carl Cobra'd him Never the same fighter again..
Dayuuum! there's a lot of crackers to pick from there. I really enjoyed the Pascal fight. But then again I also really enjoyed Kessler 1 & 2, Groves 1 & 2, and Taylor was epic too, especially how he managed to break Taylor down with his Brit Grit and Brit Iron and score the dramatic come from behind late stoppage in Taylor's home country. That was an injured Cobra as well. I love Froch vs Barbershop Conversations, too This content is protected
Hard to pick one he had so many entertaining fights. Pascal, Kessler 1 and 2, Groves, Taylor and Bute. The one that stands out for me personally was the first Kessler fight. I didn't rate Froch then, was rooting for Kessler, was expecting Kessler to knock him out in the middle rounds. But Froch surprised me, he gave Kessler a hell of a fight, away from home and I must say I thought he under performed that night. He seemed to have a lot of success but when he needed to step on the gas couldn't do so, maybe the travel issues before the fight effected him. I left that fight feeling Froch would beat him in the rematch and that he was a far better fighter than I had previously thought because on his worst night he almost beat Kessler.
Vs. Bute. I was a Bute fan but the way Froch humbled him was just...........Jesus..... Bute went in with the attitude, everyone in the S6 tournament was afraid of me, and he just got decimated mentally and physically. Never bounced back either
Froch vs Pascal and Froch vs Kessler I & II were even more epic because they were wars for the ages where both combatants possessed iron mandibles and were throwing bombs thick and fast from first bell to last.
You could have stopped the title at Froch and I'd have been ok. Bute fight, it's easy to forget Froch was the underdog
I just love the way he can't let the Ward thing go. He never will...I bet he wakes up in cold sweets about it dreaming of avenging himself, what a warrior. Loved the Bute destruction, especially as everyone in the media and online expected Bute to give the Cobra a boxing class. Sweet sweet victory. Love the Kessler bouts...two classy grizzled warriors going at it and earning each others respect and friendship in a Gatti Ward way becoming friends outside the ring. Taylor was nail biting stuff, a real Rocky finish and Pascal was pure Cobra. Miss him, miss his dry humour and combative attitude.
yes. I love it when he takes shots at Ward. It really does make my day lol. ''Andre Ward could bore a glass eye to sleep'' -- Carl ''Cobra'' Froch The Kessler fights were epic. I'm a huge fan of the tattooed viking as well and it was great to see the mutual respect between them afterwards. The Bute fight was a bit too one-sided for it to qualify as a great fight but it was a very impressive performance by Froch nonetheless. The Pascal and Taylor fights were awesome. Froch vs Glen Johnson was pretty good too.
Groves 2, in front of 80.000 screaming fans at Wembley. He himself never mentions it though This content is protected
Hard to pick one. He’s been in some crackers. I was at the Pascal and Groves I fights. Both great, action-packed fights. Groves I ruined by the ref. The Taylor fight was edge of your seat stuff and one of the most exciting finishes I’ve ever seen. Bute was sheer destruction. I went with Taylor just because of the sheer excitement of round 12.
