Jim lampley could be talking completely normal, but soon as a fighter landed a right hand shot that was a bit tasty, lampley would immediately burst into life , hollering, simple one but one of the things about lampley I'll miss

 

Lampley when Lewis knocked out Rahman. "Boom"

*This fight has gone more or less exactly how I thought it would.

 

Geez I feel old. All my best memories are from watching Hagler, Holmes, Leonard, Holyfield, Camacho, Starling, Jones, Spinks, Chavez, & of course Tyson. No event was as big as an 80's Tyson fight! Last fight that intrigues me was the Fury vs Klitchko. I really haven't been interested. The fights seem several levels below what HBO offered in the 80's & 90's.

On a totally superficial level, I miss simple trunks, matching gloves, and no tattoos. Had to get that off my chest.

HBO was the best. Great memories for me.
