ok folks, i know this thread has probably been covered over a zillion times but what are your fav knockouts of all time and why, mines below: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ppoR4hu334[/ame] For me lennox was up there as one of the top 5 HW's of all time
This is what I was going to say. Did you hear the impact of that punch?... it was like a ****ing bomb going off.
Most of Tysons for me, theres one early fight where he literally pile drives the guy into the canvas, cant remember which opponent though
Here's my favorite: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4RDkZBUTWY[/ame] Again, Lennox is exposed as a fat plodding, talentless freak. He did well to pick Vitali instead of Wlad. Dr Steelhammer would have found that glass and shattered it for the third time.
ahahahaha come on man, you cant believe that surely?! everyone knows he under trained and didnt take this fight seriously and this KO was his fault, but like a class act he picked himself up and KO'd rahman in a much more visous fashion showing that Rahman was no where in his league.
This goes back a ways. #1 Rocky Marchiano KO of Jersey Joe Walcott in the 13th round of their title fight. Walcott was ahead on points on all cards but Rocky hit him so hard Walcott dropped to his knees with his left arm in the ropes then face planted. The ref could have counted him out with a sun dial. 1980 Big John Tate winning all 14 rounds of his title fight against Mike Weaver only to see Weaver come out in the 15th and KO Tate. Tate was out at the punch and fell over like a tree in the forest. George Foreman making Joe Frazier look like wind up toy hopping around the ring in their title fight before it was stopped. Mike Tyson doing in Trevor Berbick for the title. Berbick tried but couldn't get control over his legs and looked to be walking is holes. Kostya Tzsyu's KO over Zab Judah.
Julian Jackson - Buster Drayton Most times when I guy stuns his opponent and he doesn't go down instantly, as in this fight, the fighter keeps throwing until the opponent is on the canvas. Not Julian. When Drayton went stiff, he knew it was over, stood straight in front of Buster, raised one arm and dropped in unison with Buster's timber to the mat. You see, Julian Jackson was not most boxers. When the Hawk got you, he knew it was over and didn't need another punch. So he could admire his work.
Ok I'll be the first to mention it. Breidis Prescott KO over Amir Khan! Pac against Hatton and Sergio against Williams also worth a mention.
This content is protected Pacquiao-Hatton! Not only was the punch beautiful, but it was also poetic and metaphorical the way Ricky's body covered the word star as his own star faded into the night. :deal
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ag1T4cl0SNE&feature=related[/ame] Predicted first round KO, and got it in impressive fashion. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEbBVgdF8SM&playnext=1&list=PLBDE6D02FE9A56119&index=27[/ame] Watch the whole bout. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-EWPlSHxek[/ame] Pretty much the perfect left hook.
