I'm wondering about something else now, with mention of the Tyson-Donnie Long fight. As said, and apologies to Donnie and his fans, it's not as tough for a quality fighter to look good against an opponent like him. You have more of a free reign over the punches you can throw, moves you can make, risks you can take and so on. Stuff that would get you countered or blocked against a better fighter. The punches and knockouts against the best quality opposition are what really determines your abilities. But putting that aside... It's still fun to see Tyson bobbing about and flooring Donnie with a counter left. It's still impressive to see such obvious dominant skill. So what are some of your favourite knockout victories over lower-calibre opponents?
Anything from Skinny Hussein. Like 90% of his Ko's were from a beautiful left rip to the body, his signature punch and one of the better ones around when he was fighting.
Well played, sir. I'll flag up Tyson vs Michael 'Jack' Johnson early. A finishing short right very similar to the one he planted Botha with, leaving Johnson on the deck for several minutes, his 'fro still vibrating from impact.
