Any old lower level fights you always have a soft spot for ?? For me ......first of all David Walker vs Spencer Fearon Now during this period....BBC were showing a bit of boxing.....early froch fights...david haye etc....and I have to say it was this period that got me back into boxing properly....and following the less well known names.....up to then the only british boxer had really taken to and followed was lennox lewis , was like 14 when leiws fought Ruddock, i was the only person i knew who actually wanted lewis to beat bruno ....as i felt lewis had more scope to achieve big things But anyway.....i love the walker fearon fight.....walker was a local guy ( sidcup but fighting out of Fisher Boys Blub in Bermondsey ) and he had fcking heart....and i urge anyone to look this fight up on youtube Getting dropped on the bell on two consecutive rounds amd to come back to win.....was brilliant viewing And his all action fights got him a somewhat unwarrented european title shot which he lost....but nonetheless got a well deserved payday for his efforts Big up kid dynamite Walker And honourable mention is Big fat John Mcdermott bashing up muscle bound Larry Olumbiwo ( spellcheck ? ) in a round Always nice to see a fat boxer with natural boxing skills ( but dont get paid enough to live the life ) beat a body builder Look em up people
Was a big Jimmy Thunder fan. Daniel Martz is exciting when matched with his level. Emanuel Augustus was a thrill a minute
Deontay Wilder. How on Earth from getting knocked down by a check jab from Dustin Nichols to World Champion?? That's a true Rocky Story
