Cool to see other folks giving love to the raw aggression of the Pit Fighter and his former training partner, the more refined but equally scintillating young HBBB, Jacob O. :good Two fighters it became very trendy to write off and put down over the years.
Past: Bas, Genki Sudo, Igor, Sakuraba Present: Fedor, Machida, GSP, Big Nog & Randy* * I wish both these guys were in the past category, because they need to retire. I don't know how you can be a fan of MMA and not be a fan of these 2 though.
Past - Sakuraba, Rickson Present/recent - Big Nog, Penn, Fedor, HMs... Frank Shamrock, Wanderlei, Militech, Royce, Rampage, Shogun, A. Silva. :good
Its not that theyre pretty much unbeatable (which they are) but they have elevated the game to something a regular MMA fan isnt capable of comprehending. People still dont get it esp with Machida and Silva. BJ I just like the guy, hes a born fighter. Being in Hawaii a few times, I see alot of this attitude, these guys have nothing to do but surf and fight.
Machida, A.Silva, Fedor, GSP, Rampage..... And honorable mentions because they bring it....Axe Silva, Henderson, Pride Cro Cop.... Lesnar even though he's a tool brings it as well......
Oh yea can't forget about Randleman!!!! Shogun is fun to watch as well hopefully he'll be on for the Machida fight, he'd better be!!!!
Aren't most of them about ten times bigger than BJ though? Or am I getting them mixed up with Samoans?
Theres plenty of those too, but theres alot of guys like BJ whos normal size and mixed looking. First time I was in Maui, I was walking towards the hotel gym, a bunch of guys just came out of it and all gave me a ****ing dirty look (they know an outsider) and these kids were jacked. Same kids you find outside by the nearest shore hanging out on their surfboards on the water. You just cant join them, theyre very territorial. Diff culture for sure than the mainlanders.
