Rose-Harada (Just sublime boxing from Rose; so, so skilled)
Spinks-Qawi (smartest LHW this side of Archie Moore)
Chacon-Limon IV (Hollywood would reject this for being too unrealistic; sheer guts)
Sanchez-Gomez ("come in to my parlor, said the spider to the fly")
Basilio-Saxton II (Proof there is fine art to ring aggression)

McGirt/Simon Brown. If someone asked you what it means to outbox a guy show them that fight.

Julio Cesar Chavez against Rosario: The most exciting one sided battering I have seen.

    Duran - DeJesus III

I simply love this because Duran becomes something special. He is boxing behind the jab and with pure defense but he remains aggressive.

His personality in the fight is almost that of a humble but deadly focused business man.

It is perhaps the greatest version of any modern fighter.

Absolutely agree with this. It was systematic in a way that show complete mastery over another.

Duran vs. Palomino ranks high for me and is often overlooked.

Hearns vs. Cuevas is also brilliant in its savagery.

What Sugar Ray Robinson did to LaMotta still ****s me up a bit.

What's interesting is I watch loads of boxing - loads and loads and loads and loads - and i've never seen anything like Robinson performance in that fight. It actually jolts me a bit going back to it.

He was absolutely amazing in that fight. Electric. LaMotta was very good in the middle rounds too. I love the sneaky body punches Ray chucks in every time they bump up. His lack of physical strength relative to MWs especially was a limitation on him and I guess this is his final adjustment for the bull. In you come but get ready to hurt in the morning. BOOM round the corner, oh my gawd, it's so awesome.

After the first couple of rounds of perfunctory boxing...I think it is the 3rd round Robinson comes out like a bolt of lightning and he catches Lamotta completely off guard. Robinson is throwing fire and seriously, you see how tough Jake is because those punches were painful to watch.

That Robinson can turn it up like that anytime he wants was a scary prospect.
