At a post-fight press conference a reporter shouted at Don King "Aren't you exploiting your own people, Don?

"RiDICULOUS!" he replied. All I'm lookin' for is a young black man willin' to expire for a million dollars"

Call me cruel, but i get serious chuckles watching the Holmes interview post Spinks. The audacity and self honestly gets me everytime.

That certainly helped Lopez as a draw in New York City, if he ever fought there.

Another really good post-fight quote was from Jack Roper after he was ko'd in 1 by Louis in 1939. When asked what went wrong, Roper said he "zigged when he should have zagged." That phrase became part of the language.

I remember a story about an old-timer who retired on his stool. A journalist questioned his courage by implying that his opponent really hadn't hit him that hard. The fighter replied that "they better keep an eye on that referee then, because someone sure was beating the **** out of me."

How about Prefight? When Hagler was informed Hearns cancelled the fight due to a broken "Pinky Finger." Hagler " For 10 Million Dollars, I'd cut that sucker off"!
