I was thinking about this tonight, and I honestly can't think of one I enjoyed more than Margacheato-Mosley. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhY-aa1yVOM[/ame] What's yours? What are some good punching displays to mention?
Napoles-Lopez II...It happens at 4:47...one of the most lethal right uppercuts you'll ever see. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tccXjGHUimU[/ame]
Cuevas-Ranzany...........really, a lot of Cuevas' fights would qualify. Ranzany thought he was doing so well after the first round..... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOpSrXLnItg[/ame]
I've been around a long time, seen many impressive welterweight punching displays, but NONE to equal the one I saw in MSG,1945. A tough, tatooed Irishman Jimmy McDaniels from the west coast, coming off a ko of a hot prospect Aaron Perry, hooked up against the absolute prime Ray Robinson. In the first round McDaniels went to the body and Sugar Ray was content to tie him up. In the second round McDaniels again went to the body of Robinson who seemed bored. Well the ref broke them up and all of a sudden Robinson unleashed a furious barrage of hooks, right crosses and uppercuts right on the button and McDaniels was out cold but the Robinson blows kept him suspended in mid-air until the ref intervened and McDaniels finally fell on his face like a log. I,my dad, and the MSG crowd were STUNNED by the uncanny speed and power of the 24 year old Sugar Ray. Most impressive display I have ever seen live....
