The funny thing is, Rocky 4 with all the music and it's fairytale story is quite possibly the easiest one to watch and the easiest to get lost in.
If you time it, there's only around 40 minutes of film. The rest is montages and, of course, the fight scenes.
When I was a kid I watched it back to back and knew the film word for word. I thought it was the greatest film of all time back then It's still great entertainment though and the training montage in Russia still gets me going.
I didn't think 5 or 6 were THAT bad. I mean if you are letting 4 in then then the bar is set pretty low.
Why would you time it you sad waster. Just watch it and enoy it, or it you don't enjoy it don't watch it. **** sitting there for two hours with a clock timing what you define as 'actual film' and/or music/fight montages atsch
Say what you want about Rocky 5, but it does have one of the best scenes in the Rocky series: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmbfZT_mCSI[/ame]
Same batting order as 'Toffee Jacks' for me.... 1.1 cause its the best film/story/music etc etc 2.3 most entertaining- best 'baddie'! 2.2 decent all rounder if a bit slow at times. 4.4 bit daft but entertaining good soundtrack/montages!. close call for 3rd spot. 5.Balboa- stupid story-pensioner fighting world champ- but quite a slick production all the same. 6 5 rubbish- but i still enjoyed it!
The 6th one is the 2nd best IMO. All have their moments, but the first one is the 'best'. My personal favourite is 4; the death if Creed, formidable opponent, great training montage and cold war allegory
