Monzon-Briscoe-Valdez - that's what it was all about. Although I've only just realised this minute that it's my favourite rivalry in boxing, ever.
Amongst ones I've seen on film: Robinson-Basilio-Fullmer Jofre-Medel-Harada Canto-Gonzalez-Oguma (Gonzalez can be replaced with Park) Olivares-Herrera-Castillo (Herrera can be replaced with Rose) Saldivar-Winstone-Legra Perdroza-Lockridge-Laporte Buchanan-Laguna-Ortiz (might not qualify because Ortiz-Buchanan was a nothing fight) Ross-Canzoneri-McLarnin (mind you I've only seen clips here and there of their fights) Rodriguez-Griffith-Benvenuti Ali-Frazier-Foreman is pretty hard to top, as lax mentioned.
Off the topic a little, but look at the other "softies" those guys fought in addition to each other---Arguello. Navarrette. It wasn't as if anyone was taking the easy road to do things. Or the road we see in the present, risk vs. pay so fights are deemed far too risky for the monies involved.
SRR-Basilio-Fullmer is a great one. What about Basilio-Saxton-Gavilan another good one with Basilio (the king of rivalries) Buchanan and Ortiz was a total nothiing fight. dosent count Another good pick with Ross-McLarnin-Canzoneri i have saw abit but not enough of that rivalry a great one all the fight were classic definitly a staple for British fans, i love Benn vs watson
