Nice bold and fearless prediction, but Valuev will win by a relatively onesided decision, unless Holyfield get's pulled out in the late rounds by his corner for taking too much punishment. The fight will prove nothing, except that the giant beat a shot Holyfield and Evander has even fewer braincells as a result of it.

Size doesn't mean anything Chris. Look at how some of the 5'10", 180 lb fighters of the old school would just walk all over the giants of today.. They were better and that's all their is to it. Quality is what counts.

One might say that Holyfield beating Valuev is somewhat of a " Tall order"

....Hahahahahahaha........I just crack myself up so badly some times.

Call you crazy? Okay, you're crazy.

I think you're right to say Holyfield will win some rounds. Everywhere I look I read how Valuev is not a great fighter, but neither is Holyfield anymore. Watching how slow he was against Ibragimov makes me wonder if it's not a sure thing that Valuev will nail him sooner or later and I think Holyfield will go down a lot easier now.

Valuev's boxing abilities plus his size have made him a formidable opponent no matter how much he is referred to as a circus act. Valuev beat Ruiz and I certainly can't see Holyfield version 12.0 getting that done.

I remember being at the movies with my brother when the trailer for Rocky IV came on. We howled at how far Stallone was willing to push our credulity.

Now, here it is. We have the small heavyweight who is given no chance vs. a giant Russian.

Just for kicks I looked up Dolph Lundgren who played Rocky's nemesis in that movie. Lundgren is seven inches shorter than Valuev and Lundgren's top weight was 90 pounds lighter than Valuev's.

I also predict that Valuev will have severely bruised nipples from Evander's head butt's.

Is this fight taking place in Germany? Gerald Nobles already got DQ'ed over there for hitting Valuev "low".

    I think you're crazy....but I hope you're right though!!

Hollyfield has forgotten more about boxing than Valuev ever learnt!

But there's still no logic in selecting a 6ft 2inch 46 year old with a 78 inch reach to beat a 7ft tall 35 year old with an 85 inch reach.

IMO the only way Hollyfield can win is to destroy Valuev's body. To do this he'll need to mix things up a lot (using a lot of 46 year old energy in the process), get inside and bang, bang, bang!

Yes. Unfortunately, he's forgot it because he's old and punch-drunk.

Mendoza it would be a hell of a thing if Evander pulls this off, and maybe I'll be the one eating my words on Saturday, but I think Holyfield loses decisively and soundly.
