I think Featherweight is starting to become a stacked and exciting division with lots of interesting matchup to be made in the future. We have: Rafael Espinoza Luis Alberto Lopez Robeisy Ramirez Rey Vargas Brandon Figueroa Leigh Wood Raymond Ford Otabek Kholmatov Mauricio Lara Mark Magsayo Josh Warrington Reiya Abe If Naoya Inoue decides to move up after clearing Super Bantamweight next year he will definitely have a lot of options ahead of him.
Hard to say. I think 126 will be Inoue’s max weight class. Im not sure if he’ll still maintain his dominance and keep the same speed and power if he moves up. Who knows, I’d like to see him enter the division at some point.
Lara hasn't made 126lbs for more than a year and never will again. It's almost 14 months since Magsayo made 126lbs and he hasn't won a meaningful fight there since January 22. Wood likely won't be far behind them, he's pretty much off to 130. Warrington is finished. Figueroa is so inactive as to feel retired. There is more than one guy on that list who has just lost and might follow Magsayo and Lara to 130lbs. I understand what you mean, but I think this division is going to evaporate.
Yup. All of the names but none of the fights. Wood, Lara, Warrington are done with the division. Even if they do come back, it won´t be for long and that´s a big if.

Ive honestly just overlooked him and haven’t seen much from Ball in my OP. He’s really impressive after seeing him against Ford. Very exciting style even for his short stature.
Seems like this division is no longer as hot as it was. Pretty disappointing how Featherweight has been pretty stagnant lately. Figueroa recently made some noise by stopping Nick Ball to becoming a title holder but other than that there doesn't seem like to be any interesting match ups at 126 and the one that was supposed to take place last week Angelo Leo vs Raeese Aleem just got cancelled because Aleem missed weight. Although it does look like we might see Brandon Figueroa against Rafael Espinoza sometime this year. Bruce Carrington is fighting Rene Palacios next and should he win in July he needs to be face Angelo Leo next. What they should do is have two unification bouts and then an undisputed fight between the winner of Figueroa / Espinoza should face the winner of Carrington / Leo.
