Screw having 6 fighters. Just have 8 fighters, there is a **** load of talent in this division. 1. Chris John 8. Daniel Ponce de Leon 4. Yuriorkis Gamboa 5. Rafael Marquez 3. Juan Manuel Lopez 6. Antonio Escalante 2. Celistino Caballero 7. Elio Rojas
That is a very interesting idea, and I like it a lot. However, I have just one question, do you really have Escalante higher rated than the WBC champ, Rojas?
Looks like Gamboa will be bringing us the first big fight of the "tournament." Juanma is scheduled to face Concepcion on July 10th, and Gamboa will now be fighting July 24th against an opponent to be named (Rojas?). Chris John will be fighting the 26th of that month against a scrub in Indonesia. I'd be interested to see what everyone thought the result of Gamboa-Rojas would be.
He has fought once in two years becuase he retired as nobody would fight the guy even for big money. Its obvious you have not watched him fight otherwise you would not dismiss him. trust me its impossible to watch him without getting onboard his hype. If he has been promotes properly a few years ago he would of been a champion at featherweight no doubt. every loss was a robbery i am dead serious.

Gamboa will win but it will be a tough tough fight as Rojas is all wrong for him. Suprised they are making the fight. Antonio Escalente is a Super Bantamweight, and not even a top 5 one. Would not have him in there. Salido the IBF champ is better.
Then why sit there criticising him when you don't even know about him? You act like his record tells all, it doesn't.
