what does that got to do with anything. Rubio has more KOs than Pavilk has wins, so hes got power. can he KO Pavilk...probably. can he get KO...probably. a good mandotory if you ask me. hes for damn sure better than Jennings.

Man there's all type of reasons to speculate right now. Pavlik's camps used to be fairly open. This one has been shut up tight. Today they issued a statement about changes in training. There is even a rumour about Kelly getting into yoga for **** sakes. I just hope Team Pavlik doesn't **** things up by trying to turn one of the best "stalkers" in the world into something he's not, and never will be; a slick boxer.

The tip was real, but in boxing....... If I was wagering, that source would change my mind some. I truly expected Pavlik to come out blazing to make a statement. Maybe his statement will be something we didn't expect? We shall see. I think Kelly could come out and make Lockett's stock go up if he wanted to with this fight. Interesting tip none the less.

Rubio could not stop Ornales, or even drop him. Bronco McKart, NEVER known for power, dropped Ornales TWICE. Rubio's KO ratio is deceptive. Most of his knock outs came against no hopers, and guys like Grady Brewer who has a china chin, and Zertuche who was ruined by two wars with Zuniga, and a beating from KP.

There's no need to change much.Obviously the loss to Hopkins showed some limitations but how many Hopkins like fighters is he going to meet throughout his career. He is not going to learn much from Rubio.I think he should just walk him down and beat the crap outta him like he has done in the past.
    Pavlik KO5

The plan the last time KP fought in Youngstown was for KP to carry Pierre for several rounds, and then knock him out. Carrying Pierre turned out to be a brutal 4 round beating. You could be right:yep

HBO would not buy a Rubio fight. That little peice of news is about 8 months old. It was one of the factors in the mad srcamble for fall 2008 opponent.

Numerous factors indicate that Kelly may be looking to box a bit more than usual. If that happens, it may go 7-8 rounds. If KP comes out and goes into his normal seek and destroy mode, it goes 5 at the most.

I agree 100%. I was originally planning on going to Youngstown for this fight but I had zero confidence in Arum putting together a credible undercard. All the fights/fighters being mentioned were/are taking place in NYC. It looks like there will be the Pavlik fight and then a bunch of mismatches or unknowns fighting at the Chevrolet Center. Sadly, Arum is putting the bulk of his best that night in Madison Square Garden.
