    Agreed

The people on here predicting the end of Top Rank are idiots.

What case doe Yory Boy exactly have against Top Rank? if he had any type of strong case it would be settled out of court for $50-100k by Top Rank which is chicken feed to them.

I have no comment on the Margo fight I did not watch it. I did watch that Pac fight and Clottey made no effort to win. Fight looked completely fixed.

Look at some of the shady dealings when it comes to Top Rank fighters. Numerous fighters have complained of being ripped off by Arum. Delahoya and Mayweather both claim to be owed money by the company. Now Pac is having his finances reviewed in dealing with him. The Margo hand wrap incident and Arum crying racism after he was caught. Plus you have PAC being ripped off against Bradley.
This is just stuff I can think of off the top of my head.

Yup, that Pac vs. Clottey fight was FIXED. Clottey "threw the fight/took a dive".

Its not the only fixed fight on PPV in recent years.

    1.) Pac-Margarito was FIXED
    2.) Pac-Mosley was FIXED
    3.) Pac-DelaHoya was FIXED
4.) Floyd vs. DelaHoya was FIXED
5.) Floyd vs. Canelo Alvarez was FIXED

Bob Arum has a lot of power and influence in the boxing world so they are waiting to see the outcome first. If he loses you can believe they will talk about it then.

because if there is fraud involved then a judge or jury can assess punitive damages(unlimited) in addition to yory boys actual damages. they see a poor mexican being taken advantage of by a priveleged harvard jewish lawyer and this is not a very good plaintiff/defendant scenario for top rank.

google up insurance and bad faith and you will see judgements well into the 10's of millions.

why the fuc-k would someone settle for 50k when they have a shot at millions?

Just to play Devil's advocate, the cost of of a trial (and possibly, of appeals) would likely be quite prohibitive for Yori Boy and his trainer. And it could take a while for them to receive any money from Top Rank, even if the verdict goes their way.

So, a settlement might become a more appealing option for Campas and co as time goes on...But I do agree it's hard to see them settling for anything less than seven figures, given what they've experienced and what they stand to gain if the judge rules in their favor.

lawyers costs are covered by the losing party in most states and if yory boy loses(which he wont on the federal level as there is far less corruption then the state level) then hell just bk out of the debt as his assets are in all likelihood already hidden in mexico.

this case is on contingency...that i am sure of. and since there has already been a criminal conviction associated with this case a civil judgment is all but done as it is far easier to get a judgement for preponderence of evidence as opposed to beyond a reasonable doubt

i agree that seven figures is the minimum here as there is a better chance than even that punitive damages will be awarded.

and yory boy is not worried about having acccess to his settlement as investors are already offering him a percentage of what he is going to win in regards to what they and their acturaies believe will be the amount awarded.
