a big part of jones dominance is due to the unified rules. no upkicks makes top control alot less dangerous and makes his reach a much greater advantage. Also Jones has never had to deal with soccer kicks.The way he paws with his fingers extended threatens people who try to close the distance with getting poked in the eye. It is much easier then developing a proficient jab. He even does it when he is on the offensive such as in the rampage fight. Some people say pride gloves reduced eye pokes because you couldnt independently move your fingers so that is something to factor in. All those things would influence the outcome more than elbows would imo. I think prime fedor hits too hard
Prime Fedor was an absolute beast. Not like the Silva hypetrain. He was legitimately the greatest MMA fighter ever. Jones has never been tested like that.
