First match between Fedor Glazkov and Islomjon Salokhidinov is going into round 5 of 6. Not a bad opening contest actually. Glazkov has probably controlled most of the contest but Salokhidinov is having moments of success and seems to be doing more damage when he lands

I’m a big fan of this summer’s trend of outdoor shows. Was kind of cool hearing the chime of the clock in the Red Square as the hour changed

Glazkov should take this, but hopefully he’s the worst prospect we see on this card because that was pretty subpar. Wouldn’t be shocked to see this end in a draw or even a close win for Salokhidinov honestly

Fedor Glazkov takes the decision, Salokhidinov doesn’t seem too pleased

This is actually one of the contests I was looking most forward to. Surprised it’s so early in the card

    Round 1
    Makhmudov 10-9 Mulovhedzi
Mulovhedzi coming out actively prodding with the jab whereas Shakhabas is coming on slowly and trying to figure out the timing and distance with the slightly awkward South African. Tsiko stumbles a bit on his way in and gets tagged. Tsiko returns the favor a moment later when Makhmudov tries to work inside. Makhmudov then tags Tsiko with a hard combo and Tsiko is noticeably stung but shakes it off. Good back and forth action but Shakhabas is getting the better of the exchanges. Good round, Mulovhedzi is game.

    Round 2
    Makhmudov 10-9 Mulovhedzi
Shakhabas picking up his work rate and putting Tsiko on the back foot more often through this first minute. Tsiko is constantly returning fire with his awkward jab to maintain distance. He’s been hit a bit more this round but doesn’t seem to be seriously hurt by any of the punches. Shakhabas is working pretty brilliantly this round and ends the round with a nice display of his defensive footwork.
    Makhmudov 20-18 Mulovhedzi

    Round 3
    Makhmudov 10-9 Mulovhedzi
Shakhabas working behind his jab to start the round and starting to use it to get inside and unload with vicious combinations. He has Mulovhedzi noticeably shaken up against the ropes but the South African is able to work his way off. Shakhabas is starting to close the distance more constantly and Tsiko is starting to noticeably slow. He’s able to back Makhmudov off for a bit but Makhmudov is starting to really get into rhythm. Great defensive work to close the round as he artfully dodges Mulovhedzi’s flurry.
    Makhmudov 30-27 Mulovhedzi

    Round 4
    Makhmudov 10-9 Mulovhedzi
Mulovhedzi is holding a tremendous deal and the ref warns him twice within the first two minutes of the round. So far a less active round from Makhmudov, but similar to the last round in that he’s using his jab to work inside and eventually fire combos. Makhmudov starting to work Mulovhedzi’s body more towards the end of the round.
    Makhmudov 40-36 Mulovhedzi
