Hopefully they can fight this year, if they do my diminished respect and admiration for Fedor will return to the heights it was in 2005.

But Randy says he can't fight until Oct. when his employment contract runs out...so the naked cowboy and Fedor fight might happen.

Please make this happen, and soon. With Couture coming off two huge wins, he looks to be at his very best. As long as these guys fight soon, no one can say things like "Couture was old!" or "Fedor was rusty!" If they fight in the next year, it will be a beautiful thing. Two men at their very best, vying for the top spot.

will it be the ring or cage? I bet that is a big sticking point for both!

I doubt it'll matter much. IMO its a difference between no chance and slim chance.

Maybe Randy will talk Fedor into coming into the UFC?

Ummmm...NO... Fedor's managment wants to be able to hand pick pick Fedor's oppenents...which was just one of the stummbling blocks in the deal. Do they think Fedor will come to the UFC and continue his grocery isle domination.:-( his domination of the grocery isle had to come to an end if he signed with the UFC so M1 looked a whole lot better. now he has to fight...........???....nobody:good

    Exactly.:nod
Fedor and his team probably looked at the UFC contract that said "6-8 fights against top level competitors in the space of 2 years" and shat a brick then ran a mile.
Fedor and his team just want to handpick easy opponents for easy wins to sustain this aura of invincibilty, Fedor would never sign a contract that would risk that.
When he signed with M1, I now consider him effectively retired from competitive mixed martial arts. He's now on an exhibition fighting bums tour.
