http://sports.espn.go.com/espnmag/story?id=3280383 Looks like the rumors were true, Fedor's managment never came to terms with Monte Cox and M-1. Looks like M-1 is going to die before it even started, just like I figured. Interesting that Dana White is willing to go back to negotiations with Fedor....it would certainly give them a huge opportunity to save face in light of the impending legal battles.
:happy :happy :happy :happy :happy Let's hope Dana White can swallow his pride a bit and do what he has to sign him.
Finkelstein is as much a problem as white, look at what happened with this M1 debacle, that should tell you something about the man.
:good "I like Randy, I genuinely like to think he's a good guy," White says. "As much as we've gone back and forth on this, I would sign Fedor and do everything possible to get Randy in the octagon with him. I'd do anything, because a., it's a great fight and b., I think Randy would smash Fedor." :yep:yep:yep Man i want this fight to happen. I think Randy stands best chance out of anyone in the UFC but I want White stomped with his careless statements a LOT more than I want Fedor to win.
Although Fedor may have split from M1 - I doubt he will pop up in the UFC any time soon. Since his initial offers were rejected, I think Dana White has dedicated himself to a vendetta against Fedor. If he signs with UFC, I will be pleasantly surprised, but I would be willing to bet that Fedor winds up with another org that does not use exclusivity contracts.
So if Dana actually gets Fedor, does that mean Couture will fight him? Otherwise, there's not much point in Fedor even going the UFC. The current heavyweight champ is a busted version of a guy Fedor's already beaten.
