These Zuffa zombies we have her are true mindless morons. Dana I'll bet can get these guys to jump to there deaths just because he says so.
Lesnar is signed to fight Cain, and JDS would likely be next. Fedor has had years and years to fight #1 contenders and hasn't since CroCop. The difference is Fedor has choosen to take easier fights, Brock simply hasn't had enough time to fight every tough guy, but always fought the best available to him.
Sorry, but this is just BS. If you look at my compilation from the previous page, you will find out, that Fedor's last 3 wins were all against at the time of the fight highly ranked opponents: #2, #4 and #6 in the world ranked by Sherdog (he was #1 himself). Additionally he was scheduled to fight Barnett, who is among the 3 best heavyweights for years. Let's say Barnett was #3 in the world at that time: then Fedor would have fought #2, #3, #4 and #6 in the world. How can you argue that he chooses "easier fights"? (Ah, I know, those guys weren't in the UFC...) Even after he cleaned out the Pride heavyweight division beating a prime ATG Noguiera 2 times, Coleman 2 times, prime Cro Cop and many others without losing once and being the smaller guy Fedor was fighting the best available opposition. Thats a fact! How can you question that? Why are you repeating this time and time again? Give the MMA GOAT his due.
Anyone who takes the UFC heavyweight title serious is a little daft. Lesner is awesome but he has a long way to go and many big fights to pull off before he can claim to be anywhere near the bad ass level of Fedor.
The worse thing about the UFC is it like the Danna White puppet show. I think Lesnar would be more respected if he had 5-8 wins before winning the title. But getting a title shot with a record of 1-1 is pathetic and makes a **** out of the sport. Could you imagine the same happening in boxing?
Lesnar reminds of Sapp in the sense he doesnt look like he likes or knows how to react to being hit. The way he just turtled up v Carwin was a joke.
Why would he? Brock is a rookie. He's new to the fight game. Too many assumptions are made about his "potential" and "ability" based on nothing more than his wrestling credentials - which frankly have little relavence in his fights - and his size. In that respect he's not much different to Sapp who was just a circus attraction albeit Brock is clearly the better athlete.
I agree but I don't think Brock bitched. Brock believes he was changing position and thats how he survived. Like I've said before he didn't use his hips at all or manage to pull guard. He covered up, held Carwins wrists and kicked him away a few times. None of these moves should have been enough but he got a bit lucky. Like I said, he didn't ***** but this experience should help him increase his skillset off his back because it was **** poor. Being able to survive that onslaught with such poor skills would suggest that if he develops the skills off his back then he'll never be in such a risky situation again.
Couture was the champ, Mir was the number one contender, Carwin was the number one contender. They were the best available and I'd say better than what was outside of the UFC.
This whole pro UFC/anti UFC could kill this forum. I think its the anti UFC guys that are letting it form their opinions.
He sometimes did, but Hong Man Choi, Matt Lindland, Brett Rogers? Zuluzinho? These are not the best available opposition to him, period.
Much like you are on my ****; how many hours a day do you spend thinking about me, sweetheart? Out of Fedor's fights since CroCop, how many have been against a deserving opponent? How many against an actual #1 contender?
