I'm surprised he resurrected that nickname. :yep

He used it back around when he debuted and still had it when he was supposed to compete on The Contender, and in an interview in 2011.

The inspiration for it was actually the fact that McCulloch is a vegan, and had a double meaning as "squeezing opponents" (as in wearing them down over time) as his idol Bernard Hopkins does - but obviously it carries a different connotation that he probably never intended.

I figured he (wisely) stopped using it at some point seeing as his Boxrec page doesn't currently list it as his alias.

Indeed. This at least has the potential to be interesting. I've not seen McCulloch fight but he's unbeaten with a solid KO record and 8 successive KOs, though his opposition looks... well, not so great.

    Haha, a bit yeah.

McCulloch has more of a Sam Claflin type of look. (Finnick in the Hunger Games and Philip Swift in Pirates of the Caribbean)

Have you spotted a "glassy" sheen when researching this one?

    Nope.
Just Chudi's skill and power against what's basically a bumbasher for the most part. I have been wrong before though ;)

Well...if you're going to call McCulloch a bum-basher, in fairness, so then is Chudinov.

McCulloch's best couple of scalps (Flanagan, Shaik, even Piper) > Chudinov's (Bjozic, ancient Colas, true bum-basher Perez).

    Round 1

Chudinov is jabbing up into the guard and ripping combos on the body of McCulloch. The jab is getting through even as taller McCulloch takes a step back, either bursting through his gloves or finding the mark uncontested when McCulloch's hands drop to defend against the body salvos. McCulloch throws a 1-2-3 standing in. Double jab, right hand by McCulloch stepping to his left and leaving Chudinov turning on his lead heel. 1-1-2 by Chudinov, slow and slipped as McCulloch bows over to his right. McCulloch posts up on the inside, arms folded against his face, letting Chudinov swing wide up top with hooks. McCulloch steps back and jabs into the guard, landing a few between the eyes.

    10-9 Chudinov
