Dmitry had a hard tough exciting fight against Korobov at the 2007 Nationals. They went to war in spots check out round 3 starting at 6 min

Even though he crumbled in 2, make no mistake - McCulloch isn't a bum and is by far Chudinov's best W to date. (Perez was a total pad-job; Bozic is 40 years old and gets injured just from climbing into the ring, Colas was never even really Euro level and peaked seven years ago, and Cheka is Tanzanian domestic level...)

...and with his first truly meaningful victory in the international professional ranks (and what a sensational one, that really is a KOOTY contender), Fedor gets his first taste of championship gold with the interim WBA 168lb title...and with that should now slide into that vacant #1 contender slot.

Froch vs. Chudinov would be TNT, guaranteed - but Chudinov needs way more seasoning. You can't leap from McCulloch to Froch. (and with all your previous wins vastly inferior to even McCulloch)

Actually regarding Fedor's chin he had an "exhibition" bout against giant LHW prospect Lepikhin who can certainly punch so i think he can take what most SMW's have to offer. The division doesn't have any premier punchers anyways Froch can bang but nothing at 168 is Golovkin/Lemieux/Kovalev/Beterbiev level.

No, no, no. The kid's way to raw and scrappy - same goes for Dmitry - they have power but both get hit way too much, trying to go toe-to-toe with triple G would make for a short fight.

Chudinov was very confident today, looked like McCulloch's punches didnt bother Fedor, since he was infront of Ben and ready to trade, its definitely solid, but we will see if its iron or not.

Dmitry looks alot more complete and polished especially on defense as an amateur than he does now.

As I mentioned in my thread about Fedor I thought he had far more power than Dmitry, although Dmitry did do quite a number on Bouadla. I'm happy this happened, although quite unfortunate for McCulloch the Chudinov's while sloppy at times seem to have a ton of power and I'm glad they're stating to show their worth, they've idling around for far too long.

:think I'm starting to wonder if maybe Fedor isn't the real gem of the family... (though it still is very early to determine, as McCulloch is his first and only remotely serious opponent so far)

Dmitry can look beastly at times: blitzing Nunez like you're supposed to if you're any good (six losses by KO1!!!), stopping Brewer and Navarro early, and popping Nielsen's cherry with a nice display of soul-stealing pipe-busting slow-n-steady pressure... but then, at times... :-( Both draws are troubling and Mendy in particular made him look very average.

Still, you have to rate Dmitry higher just for having several good wins as opposed to just the one for now for his bro.

Incidentally, the best scalp for Dmitry (Patrick Nielsen) was also met in an interim WBA title contest, down at 160lbs.

For either of them, yeah. Fun while it lasted, though.

I've been thinking the same thing, I just didn't go all out in my thread, when I marathon watched them back to back, I had similar thoughts.

I mean, they both have the same flaws (ponderous, hittable, and not the most well-disguised transition from offense to defense, more the "my turn, your turn" style...) but Fedor just seems to pack more pop in both hands and have a bit more killer instinct.
