I've just been thinking there, both Chudinov's were at one point Interim WBA world champions (Dmitry at MW - lost to Eubank Jr) and Fedor who has just won the WBA super middle against Sturm.. What I'm wondering is, how have these two managed to get into world interim positions (Fedor now full) whilst they've both had less than 13 pro fights. Confusing me a little, now I know interim isn't the actual world title, even the world title isn't the actual belt with the "super" belts... But still, anyone any clue how they've managed to be ranked as such? Ta.
No I don't know but there are lots of weak fighters in each set of rankings and if you pick and chose though well you can get high in the rankings without fighting anyone of note. Prime example AJ is 7 with the WBC, he has fought nothing but good solid journeyman.
Ah yeh I agree with that, but I find it staggering they were both fighting for world titles in <12 fights. .. In strong divisions, I mean Fedor has just picked up the belt vacated by Froch...
