EA has been wrapping up the photo shoots for their upcoming MMA video game. During the sessions, fighters are asked to make various facial expressions such as a look of suprise or pain. During Fedor's shoot, the photographer noticed his face stayed the same, devoid of expression. The photographer then asked for Fedor to really try harder at which Fedor replied, "I don't make faces", and exited the room while retorting, "we are done here." http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2009/12/26/1220521/quote-of-the-day-fedor-emelianenko
I can't imagine Fedor just being rude or arrogant like the article suggests, that's just not Fedor's personality, he's humble. The article's probably taken out of context. Who knows?
Haha. I've said this for so long. The man just doesn't make faces. If you see a little smirk then you should feel lucky. It's hard to fight a man who literally has no emotions.
Generally eastern europeans come across like that. I talk to alot of them on the phone and they are as cold as ice. They are emotionless even if you give them good news.
Completely off topic. Have you watched Marius Zaromskis train at London Shootfighters gym before? Or any of the other fighters? Looks a fantastic gym. I saw James DeGale trained there for his pro debut. Thanks ATG.
I think its just his No nonsense Russian demenour that obviously got taken out of context.. The bloke aint one to be in2 photo shoots and all that jazz.He is a fighter.. Its pretty obvious he aint in2 the lights and camera that alot of the fighters strive for.. I cant hate on the bloke.. Incidents like these justify his decision not to have the disire to join the UFC.. To Hollywood for the steely Russian.
Off the camera and out of the limelight all reports are that Fedor is a truly good guy, family man and good friend. Fedor just isn't "Hollywood" like people want him to be. He wants to train, fight, go home to his friends and family, not do all the crap like photoshoots and press conferences and so on.
