Yeah, he was so overrated that he arse ****ed the likes of CC, Nog, Coleman etc Fighters that even in their advanced state the UFC used them to establish divisions on. Funny how CC and Nog can be top operators but the man who beat them isn't it.

You can argue Fedor is overrated, looks the same etc but you can't say that 3 dominating losses in a row is not a sure sign that something is up. His punch resistance, punch power, sharpness has simply dropped a gear and each fight looks worse - just like Chuck Liddel (oh but he wasn't overrated was he Dana)!

Wow, the hate is incredibly strong from this one. Why would the world's #1 MMA promotion decide to link hands and "share" the money that their name, their quality of fighter, and their reputation brings in with a leeching company that's almost completely unheard of in the US and UK where MMA is strongest?

That's like you owning the best computer repair shop in Russia and expecting Bill Gates to come and split the profits from his newest incarnation of Windows with you. UFC doesn't sign deals with camps like Golden Glory, they sign the fighters and then the fighters handle giving the proper cut to trainers, managers, etc. It's how fighting works, you ****ing dummy.

Did I say anything about the mafia? No, I called them a mob of sheisty ****s which everyone knows they are. Of all the fighters who came from PRIDE to the UFC why is it that only Fedor made unreasonable demands and couldn't come to an agreement no matter what was offered? That doesn't strike you as odd? Well, I imagine it wouldn't, you're too busy imagining the typical sleazy fight promoter as some sort of evil megalomaniac bent on world destruction.

Yes, completely shitty. The production is trash, the fighters are trash, and nobody outside of the hardcore has heard of it or cares. Britain's small circuit of regional shows destroy M-1 "Global" on quality.

How do you know? Were you in the boardroom when the deals were being hashed out? Fedor was reportedly offered more money than any other fighter in the history of the promotion and I'm more inclined to believe that then I am Fedor's side of the story (which is probably not "his" story since he was never sitting in on negotiations) because the UFC is notorious for handing out whatever they need to when they want a fighter bad enough and Dana wanted Fedor badly.

Whether it was so he'd be exposed or because he legitimately believed he was a badass, Dana was adamant that he wanted Fedor and since this is the only time he didn't get what he wanted, it seems like Fedor's cronies made it a virtual impossibility.

So Fedor looks like a genius for avoiding the world's top MMA promotion, beating up a few stiffs, and getting flatlined by a MW? Had he come to the UFC and put on a couple good performances like he did with Sylvia and Arlovski and then started fading Dana would have treated him like any other legend. The **** that Dana talked on Wanderlei Silva was amazing back in the day but as soon as Silva signed with him he had his back and he will continue to do so. I'd rather that sort of support than a bunch of ****s with a regional show that's probably redlining in financial terms.

Keep sucking off M-1, you're about the only person on this board who knows what it is or even cares.:deal

Dana in 2005: Fedor is overrated.

Dana in 2011: I told you Fedor was overrated.

Fanboys: You were right all along Dana!

Thank you ZUFFA for preventing the two biggest HW matches of the past 5+ years from happening and now when you have Overeem and Fedor under contract you just cut them without blinking an eye, because the current HW landscape is sooooo deep. Why bother with two quality fighters when we can just pretend like they don't exist.

How in the **** do you justify calling Fedor a quality fighter these days? The guy has dropped three in a row and in that stretch got choked in under a minute by a UFC washout, got pummeled by an pituitary **** that was nearly knocked out by Mike Kyle, and then got flatline KOed by a MW. That's not quality, that's a shot fighter that's completely given up on gameplans and his wide arsenal of tools in favor of blindly charging an opponent with caveman hooks.

For the umpteenth time, Dana is not in the business of satisfying the whims of every fan in the world. He's in the business of putting on high-dollar fights that will make his company money and he's not going to allow pushy fighters and camps like Fedor and Golden Glory to dominate negotiations and pave the way for fighters to have the sort of bargaining power they have in boxing. That's what ruined my favorite sport, Dana realizes that, and he's not going to open up a door for it to happen in MMA when there is no financial benefit in him doing so. The UFC makes money off of the company's name and reputation, and the loss of any one fighter doesn't really matter that much in the big picture.

The average fan hasn't heard of Fedor OR Overeem and could give a rat's ass about either one so he isn't going to bend his business model to get them no matter how badly you'd like to see them in the cage. They can play by the rules like the rest are doing or they can **** off to crush cans in Japan.

I have a problem with the lack of respect to the GOAT. I expect nothing more from Dana however. He is a sack of **** for sure. He sucked on Tito's balls with losses. Sure he threatened him but now Dana is back to sucking him off. No respect shown to Fedor tho.

Do Don King and Bob Arum show gratitude and respect to fighters that don't earn them money and refuse to play ball so that they can do work together?

That's right, they don't, so shut the **** up because you're bitching about something that's as much a part of combat sports as punching. Promoters talk ****.:deal

Are you channeling your boxercise hero Dana? I'm sure he's your favorite fighter of all time.

Fedor lost in exciting fashion and Overeem is still top 3. You don't want to see those guys fight the 'new breed' of UFC HW's? Which at this point consists of two guys.

And one of those guys ktfo Werdum, something both Overeem and Fedor failed to do.

''Lost in exciting fashion'' is a new one as well.
