exactly, not to mention Coleman has an underestimated ground game and is a heel hook specialist who could give Fedor problems:yep

So Fedor is afraid of Pedro Rizzo now? Jesus Christ.

What was it that induced such fear? Was it watching Pedro get systematically taken apart by Kharitonov, in the mother of all 1 sided beat downs, or was it seeing him get laid out in 20 seconds, with 1 punch, by Fedor's own (infinitely less talented) teammate?

I'm pretty sure Fedor was ringside for both of those fights as well, so maybe he saw something in the flesh that made him think Pedro was a man to be avoided (possibly the way in which he was able to, with such precision, consistantly find his opponent's fist with his own face).

Well rumour has it, contary to first believed, Fedor will not be facing Schilt, he will be facing Monson. The guy Rizzo just knocked out a couple months ago.
So like facing the loser of Hunt-Barnett, the loser of Rampage-Lindland, the loser of Hong-Man Choi-Lebanner he is now facing the loser of Rizzo-Monson.

    Fedor fights the winners!

Sylvia beats Monson, then Monson also loses to Rizzo then Fedor comes along and continues to beat on the poor schmo! That's our #1 heavyweight:happy :thumbsup

Don't be fooled by the smile. Look closely and you can see the fear in Fedor's eyes.

The contract Dana White offered was a total farce and you can't blame Fedor for not signing with the UFC.

And I presume Fedor meeting Couture and trying to get a fight organised with him at some point in 08 is still regarded as ducking those at the top and fighting bums.

With the exception of Barnett and Couture, Fedor has nothing to prove :guitar

If Sylvia beats Nog, then he has proved nothing. His two greatest opponents will have been crushed in the UFC.

I don't he has them by the balls per se, because they only care about filling their pockets with cash which they can still do without him. I think for the hardcore fans, us, that is, this fight means a lot.

If I were largely considered the best HW to ever fight MMA I wouldn't risk a huge money/legacy fight vs. Couture for a pennies vs. Rizzo, would you?

A freak loss could cost you millions & your legacy, get it? Fedor is being smart here even if it does frustrate the fans a bit. I want to see Fedor fight Couture, Barnett and maybe Nog or even Sylvia but I'm willing to wait for now.
