Monson is fine for a stay-busy tuneup while waiting for Couture to be free of his contract.

Lost most of his biggest fights
Fedor has a fought a who's who?

Randy has fought a who's who.
Fedor's best victorys are Crocop and Nog.
Randy has won loads and loads of big fights, Belfort, Smith, Randleman, Rizzo x2, Liddell, Ortiz, Sylvia, Gonzaga (the man who kicked **** out of Crocop)

Big deal, you're in boxing mode where more credence is given to win loss ratio's.
If you look at the fighters Randy has beaten and how quickly he was thrown into the deep end (starting at age 33 no less!) you'll understand why he's so revered.

Being a 2 time lhw champion and being a 3 time hw champion champion says something. He's beaten 2 future hall of famers(Maybe 3 if Sylvia keeps on winning) and many many top ranked guys and contenders.

Well, I would essentially be starting anew with no previous base in other martial arts, a bit of things here and there when I was young but nothing substantial, while Randy has a very strong 'base' to start off with. A 3 time Olympic alternate wrestler and an Army boxer for 8 years.
If Randy didn't have that strong base in other martial arts and started training from scratch at 33 he would be nowhere.

    Of course he could be.
If he beats Nog and defends the belt 2-4 times he would have to be in the running for the HoF.

    :rofl :rofl

I know the guy is a douche but if he achieves enough then he deserves it.
And I'm not sure how thats an indication of the UFC hw scene, if he always beats his opponents then he is doing something right.

And guess what ? Gonzaga is also the man who lost twice against Werdum. What are you gonna say now ? That werdum would submit fedor in a heart beat ?

Crocop also got koed by randleman didn't he ? were you at the time , saying the same bull**** that you're saying now ?

And no Fedor's best victories aren't just crocop & nogueira.
    That's too easy.
Randy has fought a who's who but fedor didn't huh ?

    Lost against Enson Inoue
    Lost against Mikhail Illoukhine
    Lost against Valentijn Overeem

You bet he did and he even lost against them.

So when we're talking about Couture it's the "fought a who's who" without exception scenario but when it's fedor , it's "nobodies" with the exception of nog & crocop ?

I bet Inoue , overeem & Illoukhine would've raped fedor in a second too right? I mean couture lost against them so it probably means that fedor would get killed right?

hey couture also lost against barnett so i bet fedor would get also killed by that guy right ? oh but i'm almost forgetting a detail...crocop already defeated josh twice. but how can that be possible since gonzaga and kongo defeated crocop too ? see where i'm going with your bull**** logic ?

you're quick to point the fact that gonzaga defeated crocop but your ignoring everything else.

In all seriousness though, lets not pretend that Fedor's competition is as good as Randy's. That's just a silly argument.

Maybe you can drop Fedor on current rankings, but that doesn't change what he already did in the past with his career, saying otherwise would be idiotic.

If he beats Nog, what's stopping him? Nog is Fedor's best win.

As much as I hate Sylvia, the ******* wins.
