Would 215 really make that much of a difference? I doubt it. And I really don't think people will go overboard and forget his last couple of fights, Bigfoot mounting and pounding Fedor for a full round til his face resembled a smashed melon can't really be written off as a fluke, no matter how we look at it. This is a good fight for Fedor to rebuild, because he should win an exciting fight, but it has that element of danger about it as well because of how powerful and how good Hendo is. It will be good for Fedor to be the bigger man for once, he has been being dwarfed for years now. The last guy he fought smaller than him was Lindland 4 years ago, he's earned the right.
I agree completely. It must be a drag always fighting guys who are much bigger than you..and have significant reach, weight and perhaps even strength advantages. Doing that for a couple of fights fine, but Fedor's made a career out of it and fighting someone who's a little smaller but tough as nails will be a refreshing change for him. But make no mistake, it's a must win fight for him if he wants to continue fighting.
I absolutely pray this fight doesn't go to the ground. I'm salviating thinking about a no backing down standup war between Fedor and Hendo.
The last time I saw both men Henderson KTFO Bisping in UFC at middleweight and Fedor had just been beating for the first time in donkeys years and it was some huge shock in the MMA world. Can someone PLEASE inform me on whhats happened since then? It seems Fedor has tottally fallen off his game and Dan has completely blown up in weight? Im looking to get back into the MMA world so done be hostile , thanks in advance
I fancy Fedor in this fight , but ill state that if Henderson does decide to just wrestle Fedor , then Fedor is in danger of being wrestled to a decision loss . I do think Henderson will choose to engage Fedor on the feet probably more than he should , and for me this will be his downfall , Fedor is giving up a speed and agility advantage he holds in most of his fights , this again could be a key factor , i see Fedor KO'ing Henderson , but i fear a wrestling clinic could also be on the cards .
I would hope against that. Overeem landed a light knee and a blocked hook and practically nothing else in the 1st round of that fight. To top it off, Overeem looked spent by the 3rd round. I would prefer a normal Fedor or Henderson mentality any day.
