Fedor is naturally 30 lbs heavier than Henderson , and thats assuming Henderson weigh's 205 not 185 as he has done most of his career , Fedor will weigh 230 on FN and Henderson probably 210 - 215 max Fedor is used to fighting large slow HW's where he holds a " speed and agility advantage " something he wont have with Henderson ............ im not saying Henderson is Jose Aldo , im saying by default that Henderson will be much more agile & faster than Fedor's HW peers .
I think the guy was referring specifically to the fact that Reem was determined not to go to the ground at any point under any circumstances, because the post he was responding to was about how good the stand-up war between Fedor and Hendo will be.
I don't know if Hendo will have the strength needed to outgrapple Fedor. Fedor is not only phenomenally strong but is naturally bigger. We saw Hendo being outgrappled by a 185lbs Jake Shields, so Hendo is not elite in terms of grappling technique, he is very good but I don't know if he's good enough to bridge the strength gap with Fedor, like Shields did with him.
I dont think henderson can win this other than by decision, Fedor can take a punch thats for damn sure and he can deliver them dont think Hendo will be KOd but Fedor will get him down and sub him
Henderson cut 20 lbs for that fight the day before the weigh in , he was in " the worst condition of my career " his words , id be expecting the best possible Dan Henderson against Fedor , IMO he's very capable of wrestling Fedor to a decision win
And he's never fought Fedor He'll be looking to emulate what he acheived against Silva round 1 , for 3 rounds against Fedor , or he should be
What I mean is despite being a good wrestler he has never been a takedown and GnP guy and I think it would be a feat not to get swept vs Fedor and its not a good place to be not having great skills off your back. On the feet is where Dan has his bets chance on the ground he will get tooled imo.
