    Relieved to seem retire...its been coming for a while really. Rogers ragdolling him on the ground was the moment I knew FEdor was done, post your fave Fedor (GOAT) moments

    My favorite fighter. It sucks to see him go, but it's better than having him stick around and keep losing. I truly don't understand how anyone could not be a fan of his.

    goat for sure, he should really retire.

    2 losses don't look as bad when you look clearly past prime and retire after them.

    My favorite too)really everyones who was really getting into the sport in the PRIDE era) - but I'm glad to see him go.. Hate to see him become another Cro Cop. I have my reservations about him being too old per se, and think if he trained with a proper strength & conditioning coach and juiced like everyone else he would have had a few more years at the top, but thats another topic...viva la Fedor :hat

    The NOG fights were of course great and his finest moment...didn't pick them as was a big NOG fan too...sucks to see your faves killing each other

    Oh, I love Nog, too. He is easily the #2 Heavyweight of all time. His heart is unmatched.

    My best memories of the sport....I actually fell in love with mma because of Fedor...I knew nothing about it. Never really cared about it...But when Mirko decided to make the transition...I was curious and wanted to see what it was all about..(in his very first fight vs Fujita back in 2001.... I used to watch just K1 and boxing...

    Mirko made me discover mma (since i used to follow his K1 career)...and fedor was the reason why i felt in love with it. (just like federer & nadal did for tennis)...

    This fight was "the" moment of revelation for me.

    (still the best ever imo...the most technical , versatile and brutal ground game i've ever seen)....

    Fedor isn't just another fighter...Fedor is mma. Like Zeus is the god of thunder....Fedor is the god of mma. Because of fedor i discovered Nogueira, Wanderlei , Sakuraba , Coleman , Randleman , Rutten , Couture , Barnett , Gomi , Kharitonov , Overeem , Vovchanchyn etc ...ALL OF THEM. I started tp appreciate the sport...to watch it with a different eye...To understand the art of grappling...the hard work that goes with it etc...etc..

    Sure , i did watch some ufc vids before that (out of curiosity) , i used to rnt vids to see what it was all about...but dismissed it as trash...It took Mirko's transition...+ Fedor , Nog...and all the rest of them...to realise how ****ing great this sport is. And thanks to japan too...Pride fc was an amazing organisation...top notch production (not even today's ufc prod can compete)... anyway..


    I will always associate this sport with Fedor.

    I feel this is one of the rare occasions where the whole board is united. Fedor beat the best of his generation decisively, sometimes more than once

    No matter what anyone says they cant take the fact that he was the best of his era away from him
