hiz stand up with hiz chin in the air, swinging wildly and completely off balance with poor stand up you forgot to mention itz his standup that is completely knocking guyz out all the while he isnt getting hit clean when he's completely off balance ever consider that his off balance appearance is a bit of a con ? u prolly never considered that so check out his BODY LANGUAGE when he goes back into the robes (just before he bounces of them and KOz AA), he goes backward into the robez looking like he is being dominated and looking unsure of himself, go check for yourself, he lookz like he is bewildered, tired and unsure of himself. he lookz like he is out of control and OFF BALANCE when he bounces into the robz and makez it look like AA drove him into the robez. at that point AA getz CONFIDENT and comez forward believing fedor is wary and unsure of what to do. thatz the exact point where fedor in a INSTANT regainz hiz balance and sendz his fist into AA's face with a TEXTBOOK balanced one punch KO and goodnite AA off balance ? yeah itz ok to be off balance if it helpz you slip punches especially if you have the ability to regain it in a split second your achilliez heel has just snapped ****face
why do you use z instead of s? i can't agree with any of this. too many fedor apologists making excuses me thinks. sure, sometimes he'll be able to lure them in and dummy them cos fedor freestyles like that but he is continously off balance and that's just in the few gifs posted. people can get emotional as they like. fedors striking is effective but terrible. it could be improved. his grappling is mind blowing though.
The title of this thread could have been applied to fighters like Rocky Marciano as well. One could say his technique wasn't perfect - but it worked for him. There is a totality of the fighter - their uniqueness that makes them work and able to get away with technical errors that other fighters can't get away with. This is the same with Fedor. Fedor as the fighter is greater than the sum of his parts. In MMA - he is the king.
Those two are mutually exclusive; an MMA fan, of all people, should know this. See my thread on why Fedor punches the way he does. There is certainly room for improvement, but most of the time the reason he throws that overhand right is to set up a grip for a takedown This content is protected or vice versa. "i cant agree with any of this, sure sometimez he'll be able to lure them in" YOU just agree with sum of thiz ****face "fedors striking is effective but terrible." YOU JUST AGREED WITH SUM MORE of this ****FACE um your effective but your terrible ??? lmfao talk about emotionz getting the better of someone you should edit your post and say instead, "i cant agree with any of this because my ego doesnt want to make me aware im a coward" ewwwwwww i dont like z's i like s's cuzz im a rule follower and i like people to follow the rulez because i follow them so you should to because otherwise i'll look like a coward i use z'z cuss i can ****face
i support hiz stand up because he knockz people out with hiz stand up thatz what i see what do you see ****face if hiz technique waz TERRIBLE the RESULTz would be TERRIBLE therez barely any fighterz that knock a guy out or down with a single shot if his technique qualified as TERRIBLE when he hit the guy on the chin the resultz would be TERRIBLE because hiz TECHNIQUE would be TERRIBLE unless your grading his TECHNIQUE on LOOKz ****face which is prolly what i think is the problem here you will never yield on this because youve boxed yourself into a corner and now your ****ed im glad you wont ever yield on this ****face i know exactly where your going with this technique thing your the type of guy that would command a unit to itz death because you were convinced you unit had better riflez eventhough all your troopz kept getting shot in the head keep shooting men!!! i know what im talking about !!! our riflez are better we cant loose !!! TROOPz ??? why are all my troopz dead ?
Have you seen Marciano fight? Are you serious? Watch the Walcott fight and see how Marciano uses feints beautifully and creates angles. No technique is perfect but Rocky althhough overrated as a fighter has very underrated boxing skills
i disagree. vitali is terrible, foreman is terrible, many fighters are terrible but effective. it has alot to do with intangiables such as the fact fedor can freestyle, is durable and a good puncher. without these attributes his stand up would probably be exposed beyond comprahension. with his intangiables i think he could become much improved. vitali is the best boxer in the world but he's nothing short of terrible.
If you are effective you cannot be terrible. The point of a sport is to win, if you are winning, you are not terrible. You may not be orthodox, but terrible and effective are mutually exclusive. There is no such thing as inherently good form; form is only good if it works. If Vitali is the best in the world, and you think he is terrible, the problem is your definition of good and terrible; textbook is not inherently any better than strange. The only thing that matters is winning. I repeat, the single, sole, only, one thing that determines "good" is winning.
I'm not saying he is terrible. I'm saying his technique is terrible. His intangiables allow him to be effective. If Fedor, Foreman and Vitali were not durable with power their technique could and would be exposed. Even with intangiables their flaws have often been highlighted. A guy with speed will fight with his hands low because his speed allows him to get away with it. These guys are relying on their talent and intangiables to save them. It's made them lazy and they see no need to fix their flaws. If they did fix their flaws they would simply be better fighters. Good form is a result of many years of evolution and even opinion. It's about man's search for the most efficient and effective way of fighting. My issue is not the definition of good and terrible. Your issue is looking at the bigger picture. You are simply looking at the winning but perhaps when the fighter loses you will see the cracks. Foreman lost to Ali and changed his game a little, he lost to Young and when he came back he changed it a whole lot. His form was winning as you say but eventually it came up stuck and then he saw the flaws. I don't believe in the 'if it's not broke don't fix it' bull****. If it's not broke but you are able to make it better than do so. That's what I believe in. Arlovski didn't put on a sublime performance but he did highlight Fedors poor stand up and hands. I've commented on these flaws long before the Arlovski fight. Fedors grappling is sublime. His standing technique borderline atrocious. I stand by this.
i apologize that fedor punchez people in their headz with such force it knockz them out and that frustratez you so badly you have to pretend to hate the fact that you want to be just like me i sincerely apologize for that achillez it wasnt my intention i swear i had no idea that you were this stupid when i first replied to you :thumbsup
achillez sayz, "I'm not saying he is terrible. I'm saying his technique is terrible." no shyte sherlock dont confuse yourself the POINT still STANDz if hiz technique is terrible then the resultz of hiz technique must be terrible hold on i feel i may have juzt confused you even more, let me put it this way, a good technique will create good resultz, if it didnt it would be a terrible technique. achillez sayz, "His intangiables allow him to be effective." no shyte sherlock hiz intangiablez allow him to be effective as well as hiz technique which OBVIOUSLY generatez tremendous force due to the fact that he knockz guyz headz off with hiz striking force which has been generated from hiz technique achillez sayz, "A guy with speed will fight with his hands low because his speed allows him to get away with it." yes that is ONE single reason why a guy can keep hiz handz low there are MANY reasonz achillez, guyz fight with there handz low often to bait their opponent into taking the BAIT to SWING at them. this is not a FLAW as you will notice this technique actually makez it easier to DODGE punchez you horsesarse. itz to do with your centre of gravity and using your lower handz n armz to balance yourself to help you dodge strikez faster then you would with your handz held high. try it out yourself, put your hands up in the air and have someone stand 20 feet away from you and throw tennis ballz at you as fast as they can, youll discover that you can dodge them better without your armz and hands up in the air. therez also the CONFIDENT factor of keeping your handz low which is usually a sign of FEARLESSNESS and in the animal kingdom this is a much bigger factor then DRAWINGBOARD goofz like yourself consider. moving on it also takez alot less ENERGY to keep your handz low as you may notice that fighterz with their handz up high from the very get go will by vast majority slowly hold them lower and lower when they start getting really fatiqued. i could go on and on but i feel you may need to digest these NEW pointz into your mind. achillez sayz, "These guys are relying on their talent and intangiables to save them. It's made them lazy and they see no need to fix their flaws. If they did fix their flaws they would simply be better fighters." achillez all human anatomiez are not the SAME. there are many subtle differencez in all areaz that make some generate more power from one technique that another could generate little power from. YES achillez some techniquez look BEAUTIFUL and PERFECT. that does not mean that those techniquez will work best with every individual of different body structurez and typez. i used to play baseball and i had a great arm from the outfield and could throw runnerz out often so my couch wanted me to pitch also. he taught me the perfect form to pitch and everyone said i looked great throwing the ball but the truth waz the way my shoulder waz built for some reason i just couldnt generate alot of speed throwing from the classic 3/4 pitching techniquez. throwing from the outfield it waz alwayz with a few stepz first and therefore i could for some reason throw right over the top of my head and create alot of force. however, from a pitching mound i couldnt create alot of speed from a over the head pitching motion or the classic 3/4z motion that i still use to look kewl when im chucking the ball around. that doesnt change the fact that when i started pitching off the mound SIDEARM i started striking batterz out and became a decent pitcher. achillez sayz, "Good form is a result of many years of evolution and even opinion. It's about man's search for the most efficient and effective way of fighting." your bang on with this one achillez except you need to add in , "itz about a individual manz search for the most efficient and effective way of fighting" all men are not created so that the exact mechanicz work the same in each of them. now achillez not only are you going to stand down but your going to apologize to the forum for being such a BLACK or WHITE limited thinker otherwize i will be forced to give up on you and youll go through your whole life STANDING up for issuez that your brain has over simplified so as it can create what you believe is SENSE of it trust your instinctz if your pissed off after reading this itz your instinctz telling you that your wrong about what your saying if your laughing because i made absoulutely no SENSE whatsoever in this post and you dont feel your point is threatened by what i have posted then perhapz your correct the choice is yourz achillez
