Your thoughts on Fedor in all out striking? I think he has a decent beard and some pop in his hands but his grappling would totally go to waste and I think that is his bread and butter. His grappling can often leave me in awe.

Fedor wouldnt stand much of a chance in the K1. Forget about it.

Nah, his striking is made for clinching. He's fast and he times his punches really well but he will be technically too inferior.

Fedor either punches to knock a guy out or to clinch up for a throw. I dont think that would work in K1.

In saying that he could hold his own in an mma fight standing vs top level K1 guys and he has.

Still his style would not work in pure stand up k1.

No, his strenght is generally to exploit his opponents weakness, he's very good at everything but not the best at anything.

In pure standup there are many that would beat him...

Fedor might win a few. He has decent boxing. But, overall, no. Fedor is a Sambo guy.

Why would he even try? He isn't a stand-up fighter his base isn't striking. Why all these stupid threads on Fedors striking?

K-1 isn't that good anymore. He'd probably do OK.

even though fedor totally dominated semmy schilt in mma...i wouldn't give him much of a chance against the same guy under K1 rules.

  14. Ernesto Hoost and Peter Aerts trains Fedor along with other M1 fighters, Ernesto believed that Fedor would do very well in K-1. Fedor has also trained with Gilbert Yvel and Alistair Overeem.

People forget that when Fedor defeated CroCop he defeated him by exchanging punches and kicks, he basically beat CroCop at his own game.

Some might say that Fedor is pretty short for K1, they also forget that he is also short and small for a HW fighter. The guy walks around at 230lbs and never cuts weight, he is actually a pretty chubby fighter too.
