Fedor is boss at striking

Discussion in 'MMA Forum' started by monaroCountry, Dec 31, 2011.

  1. The fight starts at 10 minutes in the video. Fedor's combo and accuracy and power is fantastic.

Even covering up, Fedor still opened Ishii's defenses. Fedor's standup seems ahead of all other HW's. Good job working with top kickboxers.

Look at near the end, Josh Barnett looked like he just picked up Fedor and Tim Silvia looked like the third wheel lol.

He just beat a Judo gold medalist. Do you really think this shows anything of his striking?

  4. He knocked out a better striker than Brock Lesnar.

At least Ishii ddidnt run away from punches.

Zombies all around the world is having a mass suicide, some are going on a defensive. Zombie's baddest man in the planet got exposed as a CAN.

I'm sure you do know that beating Ishii is not in the same stratosphere as striking with Cigano or Overeem. Fedor's striking used to be very effective, but he's either shot or borderline shot now.

Anyone notice the amazon blondy at 14:47.....niceeee

  7. Shes a top pro boxer. Id give her a very high percentage of beating "bush league" UFC fighter Brock Lesnar.

Far better than Brock though. Lets also not pretend that JDS is a high level and decorated boxer/kickboxer, because he isnt. Overeem on the other hand is a high level and decorated kickboxer, not many top level MMA fighters is on the same level as Overeem striking wise. The closest would be Gegard.

    1. Fedor needs to lose the belly, it jiggles when he moves.

    2. Fedor's balance looks poor.

    3. The other guy was awful, first kick he threw he fell over, and he offered nothing else in terms of offense for the rest of the fight.

  11. Its hypnotic, its a trap to PED riddled fighters, and bully fighters. This particular fat kid can actually fight back and knock bully's heads off as his specialty.

And yet no one has really been able to take advantage of it. Fedor's balance reminds me of another MMA beast, Igor.

Ive seen the same thing to top level kickboxers.

In saying that, American kickboxing is inferior to Holland's kickboxing. Ishii should train and spar with the best kickboxers and should train outside America.

The guy was small and was pretty much standing there with his hands up clueless at how to execute top level striking. Fedor still throws fast, fight finsihing power punches but slowly MMA is embracing a higher level of boxing. Fighters are having to embrace more footwork, more jabbing, more defence, more setting up etc

You are really late with this whole "Zombie's baddest man on the planet" ****. Velasquez picked that title up over a year ago, and lost it last month. Cigano is the champion of the Zombies at the moment.

The funny thing is, Lesnar has a way better resume than Fedor over the past few years.

Not as big a boss as Hendo.
