http://news.sportbox.ru/Vidy_sporta...or-Emeliyanenko-Mne-vse-ravno-ring-ili-kletka Q: How will your training for the fight go? Fedor: I will do a few sessions in St. Petersburg, Stary Oskol and in high altitude conditions of Caucasus mountains. We will train separately working the stand-up, and working the ground game. Later we will combine the two, and do tons of sparring. Will also be running alot. We have to work for conditioning and train for quick movement. I repeat, that opponent is very fast. So I need to be even faster. I need to be either the first to the punch, or move in such way that he doesn't have a chance to get his momentum going. Q: In one of his interviews Rogers said that your punching technique is "ticky-tacky"(sloppy) and wants to take advantage of it? Fedor: If he says so, then it must be the case. He probably knows better. Let him try to take advantage of it, and And I will do my thing. Q: The fight will take place in a cage. Is there a difference between a ring and a cage? Fedor: For me there is not much difference. Yes, there is a little, but to me it doesn't matter. I do not fear the power of pressure, Therefore, even if I am pressed against the cage, I know what to do.
ahahaha I cant wait for that fight ''He probably knows better. Let him try to take advantage of it, and I will do my thing. ahahah Poor ROgers.
Fedor wont strike with him. He's too smart for that. He'll use his striking to take him down or clinch, takedown, submmision. Fedor by armbar everyone goes home.
Rogers hands are far sloppier; knocking out some low level guys and Arlovski is hardly proof of crisp striking, standing succesfully with CroCop and Hunt is far more impressive. I agree with the consensus that he will just use his striking to take down Rogers and pound his face to eithe end it or set up a sub.
Thats because he could have ate a knee on the way in. Look what happened when Andre did throw that knee. Goodnight god bless everyone goes home. Rogers is only dangerous because of his power. Offensively he's not as varied as AA.
I'm also a bit worried about the cage itself. I've only seen him in a ring (since his debut)... I hope he's already used to it.
It could make a difference but that will remain to be seen. Will be interesting to see what Fedor does if Rogers bullys him up against the cage.
:blood You guys act like he's a 4 year old child. Rogers is overall a bigger and scary looking dude with a free style fighting, jack of all trades type of style. Plus power in his hands. That knock out power comes from swinging a sledge hammer into tires all day.
ahahahahahaha, still into the fear of the big black man? ooooooooooooooooohhhhhh, with his free style fighting:rofl:rofl:rofl
