Like i said...I think it's a wise decision... It's a hard decision to make...but it's a reasonable and very lucid decision...he's 34...a living legend...He's not ending on a positive note but its a good decision. The last thing i want to see is fedor ending like sakuraba or wandy

Semmy is more of a K1 guy imo who fights MMA. He's not like this new breed of guys

****in suck...but I agree, better now then after too many loss.

I would love to see the rematch against Werdum if he loose against Overeem though...

i also wanted to see a rematch...(and a fight vs Barnett...because i've been waiting for this one for ages)...but after tonight...There's no use , i'm glad to see him leave the sport. (never thought i'd be saying this)...But it's sad when fighters keep on fighting for nothing... when they're nothing more than shadow of their former selves.... (Liddell , sakuraba , wanderlei , crocop , nogueira etc...)

Fedor (GOAT) has gone at the right time. Its weird for those of us from the PRIDE era...but I don't feel sad thats hes done at all, more relieved. Hate to see him become another CroCop. I've thought of him as 'semi-retired' for a while now anyway.

If The Reem keeps it standing and stops Werdum, Fedor would be able to beat Fabricio in a rematch IMO. That's not a fight with the inherant dangers that Big Foot posseses.

But still, if you're going to avenge one loss, why not both? Why not the one why you didn't tap but got pulled out?

I'd prefer him to retire. It's time, I think.

As a fan we want to see these kinds of events grow and get more exposure (which means television, sponsors and advertisers will pay)....television viewership means more money to the sports and its athletes.
The viewership will now be down as a result of Fedors early exit.....thus less future television sponsor and advertising money....thus less exposure for the sport.
Its stupid to burn out your biggest star early in a tournament and Silva has no appeal as a marketable fighter to the masses.
