No Retirment Yet, Fedor Emelianenko Expected to Return in July or August

    :happy:happy

Fedor Emelianenko is returning to a Strikeforce cage this summer. Retirement is nowhere in the immediate future.
According to Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker, the Russian heavyweight will enter the cage again at a yet to be announced event in July or August. In addition to having no venue scheduled for his next fight, Fedor is also without an opponent, but talks are underway to determine who that opponent will be.

In case you didn't know there won't be any cross over fights yet, not to mention mir and Carwin both are booked.

Damn that suck. I wanna see fedor fight some heavyweight @ ufc. Even fedor vs kongo would be fine for me.

I sincerely hope Fedor doesn't become MMA's Roy Jones Jr (or another Chuck Liddell), stumbling from one embarrassing defeat to another.

    I don't think he will.

Still think he should fight Hendo next. It's time for a change.

    What is the point?

I wouldn't like him against any of the guys left in the Grand Prix, nor even the top 2-3 guys in the UFC.

I don't think he wants to leave the fight game on a 2 fight losing streak. He probably wants to fight a couple of times and put on a win streak before retiring.

I wouldn't mind watching fedor vs couture or fedor vs mir.

He could give Cro Cop (also on a two loss streak) that rematch. :yep

Winner gets to retire on a good note. That's good incentive to make sure they both dig down and give a vintage performance. :deal
