Bottom line is 2 of his 3 losses came because he made reckless mistakes trying to finish the fight and the other one came because he is fighting in the wrong division as he obviously hates training and likes pudding. I say again: there is no evidence I have seen to suggest he is a shot fighter at the end of his career. He still looks fast and he recovered quickly from the hendo KO. He is super aggressive when on top in a fight which also suggests his desire is still there. When I assess a fighters shotness I look for physical signs of wear and tear. Some people seem to make the argument that Fedor loses = he must be shot. Saying go watch Pride etc means little as he was fighting different opponants in a different era. Other guys were improving while he was KOing fat shitbags like Tim Silvia etc.

The trouble is Dana White. He is such a dick about Pride etc that it paints non UFC nuthuggers into a corner and anyone who dares to suggest that Pride or it's fighters maybe weren't all that they were cracked up to be is shot down as a ZZ and a noob. The evidence would suggest otherwise though.

a lot to do with it...his eyes are different, he doesn't even look like he wants to be there

he punches don't have the same thud in them

    he's past it...clear as day

edit: hell....he even looks older than hendo...before and after the fight

He doesn't look the same in the eyes before the fight becasue he is on a 2 fight losing streak for the first time in his career. He looks older because he is bald and pudgy. He always looks like that. If he had won you would be saying how he looked all cold and impassionate before the fight like a serial killer. I guess some peope are so desperate for heroes they ignore all teh facts and start inventing **** to justify reality.

you know, what's funny is i am not even a big fan of fedor....i'm more of a fan of the slick gracie, maia, nog types....so the ad hominem attack is both uncalled for, and wrong

he looked like **** before his 3 losses, and yes, many people did say it at the time...he was always bal and pudgy, but didn't look "aged" yet he does now

Go away Haggis. You only found out who Fedor was two days ago. His physique was rubbish? Really? That was the lightest Fedor since RINGs. But you knew that didn't you.... And the fact his always looked that way escaped you right....

Great, he was the lightest he's been for years. That must mean he was in good shape for fighting, right? :-(

See you still don't get it. HE'S ALWAYS LOOKED LIKE THAT!!!

So you complain about him looking out of shape. When this was the lightest his been in 10 years and his always looked like that. Sound argument Haggis. Like i said you're out of your depth here buddy. Take it back to lounge or get someone to mail you a video tape of Fedor's career. Who knows you might even learn something.

No, he hasn't always looked like that.

He's never looked like a male model, but he has always seemed strong as hell. Against Hendo he didn't. He didn't look trained, he didn't look focused, he didn't look ready. When it came time to fight, he was crude, wild and looked like he had zero gameplan. He didn't fight to maximise his chance of success, and he didn't capitalize on the opportunities he had. And after the fight, he accepted the loss like he didn't even give a ****. That's not the kind of performance the 34 year old GOAT should put on, I don't give a **** who he is.

    Now you're just talking ****.

Here's a few nice anecdotes for you from just a few random guys....

-"Fedor is the best pfp fighter in the world." - Randy Couture, UFC HW Champion

-"Fedor is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world aside from bj Penn, those 2 are the best fighters in the world." - Rampage Jackson, UFC LHW Champion

-"It's FEDOR dude!" - Eric Pele

-"He is the BEST." - Mark Coleman, former UFC HW Champion and Pride GP Champion

-"The best in the world, no doubt." - Phil Baroni

-"Look, I've fought many people from around the world, so I've seen many strong fighters. But like him, never." - Renato Sobral

-"Fedor is on top now, it's hard to beat him now." - Pedro Rizzo

-"NOBODY wants to fight Fedor." - Wanderlei Silva, former Pride MW Champion and GP winner

-"Our great champion, he is the BEST in the world." - Josh Barnett, former UFC HW Champion and ADCC Champion

-"Fedor has no equals in Sambo or MMA." - Aleksander Mikhailin, 3-time World Judo Champion and Fedor's former training partner

-"Fedor would be absolutely great in K-1." - Ernesto Hoost, 4-time K-1 World Champion

-"Fedor has no weakness! I have seen so many fights, and even the best fighters in the world have a flaw in their game but I have yet to find one in Fedor Emelianenko." - Bas Rutten, former king of Pancrase and UFC HW Champion FSN

-"Probably the best ever lived....he's a living legend right now and I don't think there's a man on this planet who can beat him; the man is unreal. Pound for pound the best in the world." - Diego Sanchez, hooterandgreenway radio show

-"Fedor is my favorite." - BJ Penn, former UFC Welterweight Champion and BJJ world Champion, NWFS 7/9/06

-"Fedor is the most incredible fighter you'll ever see." - Frank Trigg

-"Fedor is pound-for-pound best in the world." - Shamada (Pride referee)

-"Fedor is a machine." - Don Frye

-"The best fighter to climb into ANY areana is Emelianenko fedor. He is in his own league and you can't compare nobody." - Kevin Randleman, former UFC HW Champion

-"Fedor is just too dominant, too good at punching people in the face. The way he punches people man he's trying to kill people, with both hands. He's in a whole different class by himself." - Brandon Vera

-"He is the best and undefeated... His striking game and his ground game is the best, so that's why he is the best... He is the sh*t " - Mark Hunt, K-1 World Champion

-"He's the total package; looks can be deceiving. He's incredibly strong, his hips are amazing, probably his best asset. Hard to hold down, hard to do anything with the guy.........**** he's just the best, that's why he's the best. He gets in position to throw the big bombs, he throws just as hard on the ground as he does on the feet. That's why he's the world Champion." - Mark Coleman

-"He's the fastest I've ever seen. Much faster than Mirko. And he's got a great reaction. Technically he may not have such a big advantage, but physically he is the fastest heavy guy in MMA history. He tries a punch, misses it, then immediately shoots again, Cro Cop for example didn't even see them coming. He must practise that a lot, because it's not easy to improvise that kind of thing. He is really with a good combination of styles, he can go from one art to the other, that's what makes him different." – Antonio Rodorigo Nogueira

-"He has a fast eye, good for counter-attacking. And in every fight he shows up with something new under his sleeve. Against Filipovic he used a great clinch-strike combo: he'd go for the uchi-mata, quickly following with a powerful hook." - Pedro Rizzo

Liddell: 'I'll fight anyone, Silva? Yeah sure, Quinton Jackson? Sure, Randy Couture? Sure'

    Reporter: 'What about Fedor Emelianenko?'

Liddell: 'Well if I'll have to...I'll fight him...if I have to'

Im sure you're ridiculously uninformed opinion carry s far more weight than the quotes from the legends above.
