His manager owns the league he signed with. Sounds like some Don King **** to me.

M1? What the hell is that? That sounds like an organization that would have trouble signing Tank Abott. So who the hell is Fedor going to fight? They're going to have to make 3 on 1 matches just to get Fedor some competition.

It's a shitty Russian fight league, owned by Fedor's manager and apparently now working in cooperation with Mark Cuban, the owner of HD Net. This whole thing is shady as ****.

Fedor's manager turned down offers from the UFC, K-1 Hero's, Showtime/EliteXC, The IFL, and Bodog to sign with an organization HE owns, and who's biggest fighters are all Red Devil Sport Club members? I honestly think Fedor is getting taken for a ride here, and the fans are going to suffer.

well he's getting more money anyhow. does anyone know how much the UFC offered him? And yes the question is who the **** is he going to fight? what a joke he legacy will always be what it is but this has to look bad when people wanted to see him and Couture go. I think Couture would have given him a good go. thumbs down Fedor!!!!!:verysad

I'll believe it when I see it. I'm definitely not excluding this possibility, actually I saw this coming. Bottom line Dana shoulda let Fedor do his SAMBO championships.

Apy Echteld has been rumoured to be involved in some very shady business. I don't think Fedor has a good management at the moment.

Bottom line is it wouldn't have mattered. And from what Dana and the Fertitas say they were willing to let Fedor fight in SAMBO and counter-offered with such a proposal. K-1 HERO's had no problem with it from day one and offered Fedor an enormous sum of money. This is plain and simple a way for Finkelstein to make a **** load of money.

He signs Fedor to a company he owns, sells the company to unnamed investors for millions, receives a cut of that and also a % of Fedor's purse, and now gets appointed to a position back in the company. This isn't about Fedor, this is about Finkelstein making millions of dollars in a game of business poker, and Fedor was his ace. Fedor gets rich too, good for him, but he's become the next Frank Shamrock, leaving the top tier of competition in his prime and will forever be a question mark.

that is bad news. but there are definitely no question marks about Fedor, he's #1 pfp until beaten by someone else.

Dana wouldn't lay down the right amount of money, thats all there is to it

So if someone should offer Wlad K 10 mill to go fight in the Japanese heavyweight division do you he should do it? I mean how much does money really mean? he should be well off by now and I would think a personal legacy would be more important to me then going and beating up bums at a Russian club. But that's just me, money is as important to me as the next person but doing what you do and being the "best" in the world and you decide to go for cash rather then facing the best in the world at what you do. I lost some respect for Fedor, but maybe there is more to the story then this.

Might end up being cheaper for the UFC to now go and purchase M-1.

Really though... this is a let down, and Fedor can no longer be considered the #1 Heavyweight in the world. I am a huge Fedor fan... but you can't be in an organization with no talent and claim to be the best. Especially considering what has happened to the other supposedly "superior" Pride fighters since entering the UFC. This sport evolves too fast to rest on things done in the years past... you are either with the times, or you get passed up.

That's nonsense. You have to KEEP PROVING IT IN THE RING AGAINST THE BEST. A person doesn't remain the #1 in the world, if he isn't always fighting the best challengers. His last wins over a legit top contender was over 2 years ago. Mark Hunt is a tough guy, but not a top contender. So, it was over 2 years ago that he beat Cro-Cop. We have all seen what has happened to Cro-Cop in the UFC.

The time has passed, and Fedor was given an opportunity to fight in the UFC for HUGE money, and he turned it down.

exactly, fighting is a what have you done for me latelt business. Jermain Taylor should have just kept fighting inferior fighters and then retired undefeated. There is alot of guys Fedor has not faced yet, Arlovski, Gonzaga, Vera, Barnett and a guy named Couture. I still can't believe he would take this rout, I'm sure he has lost alot of fans. I guess they can rewatch reruns of him beating coleman.
