I mostly agree with your posts but Fedor is a notch above Ricco even in Riccos prime. As for Arlovski, he looks buff and have a nice form...seriously he needs a heart transplant..Fedor will murder him especially on the ground

Sylvia probably is underrated. I know that I certainly think the man has more genetic advantages (with his size) than actual talent - but I am willing to concede that I am biased against him. I do agree with you in discounting his fight with Couture, Sylvia has never been thoroughly schooled.;););)

And for what it's worth - I am thrilled this fight is taking place. Fedor will smash Timmy into the mat.

Fedor is gonna be too much for Sylvia. He's gonna put the hurt on him.:!:

I agree. Because of his size, it usually is a challenge for most fighters to deal with. He doesn't look pretty, but he does what he does well. Although he isn't the most talented out there, I have to give credit in that he has shown lots of improvement since when he first started.

Perceptive analysis as always Mike

Think you could take Sylvia with a screwdriver?

How about Sylvia and Emelianenko with a baseball bat? :think

Agree with whoever said this is an interesting fight because it's a bad style match up for Fedor. I still think Fedor will win, but I think Timmay's size, stand up and take down defence pose problems for Fedor. 60/40 match imo and probably the toughest match out there for Fedor other than Barnett.

To beat Tim is to get get him of his feet, Couture had him off his feet and won easily when Nog got him down it was over in seconds and when Arlovski and Mir beat him it was when they had Tim down. Arlovski played Tim's game and lost, I think Fedor will get him down and then an armbar will occurr soon after, it's just a matter of how and when Fedor get's him down. But Fedor's hands can be quite lethal when he decides to use them. I'm just gald he's finally fighting a contender.

I don't know about Fedor's hands these days, since the hand problems, I haven't really seen the same killer instinct from him. I still think he's a comfortable #1 in the world at heavyweight, but he's not the #1 comfortable P4P fighter that he used to be, that version of Fedor is the best MMA practitioner ever, imo.

Either way, it's good to see him put all the **** about ducking and being a ***** to rest by fighting a consensus top 10 guy.

Oh no doubt Fedor is better then both I know it Fedor is the best Heavyweight in the world but Ricco on paper back then should be grapple ****ing Sylvia and we saw what Arlovski did in the 1st fight to Sylvia I thought how can it be any different ? Sylvia may not be the quickest or most athletic guy in the world but he trains hard and comes to win and his resume shows that.
