Even though I've been pissed off at his stupid decisions not to fight in the bigggest and best MMA organization in the world :)twisted:), Fedor is how I like my sportsmen to behave.

Affable, honourable, respectful, dedicated, no trash talk, hard worker, all business when need be, He is a true gentlemen and a badass.
Why can't Mayweather be like this? If he was he'd be my favorite boxer.

Why can't all sportsmen be like him? :huh
Makes his decision to fight cans and bums for the rest of his career just so much more jarring.

i still like mayweather...He's far from perfect and he can be an ******* but it was so funny to see him getting booed like that (by hatton's fans)...and he's always cool about it...

i used to hate wanderlei silva too...(during his pre-jackson era)...seemed like a detestable individual...but he's got a different attitude now.

but there's a bunch of em which i'll never like that's for damn sure...
Tim Sylvia , the other...Matt Hughes. and there's probably 5 or even 10 more like this...but i won't bother to mention every single one of'em.

Really? I like Matt Hughes! I never understand the **** he gets, I've never seen him do anything particularly bad to make him dislikable.

Sylvia on the other hand...... :verysad

You never know...maybe he'll have his fight against couture..(or not)
or maybe barnett ? or maybe someone else...

last opponent he had to fight was Matt Lindland...it's not like it's the end of the world either..

and his fight vs Choi is probably canceled.
(choi got beat up by lebanner.)

Hughes is a real *******...not the "mean" or "vulgar" type...but the "ultra pretentious" one who looks at others as if they're jokes...
which is why i was more than happy to see his ass handed by the french canadian wonder...

and it was even funny to see him getting his ass schooled vs Penn..
(he was totally lost on the ground) , even though he still won the ****ing fight.

Tim Sylvia is a combination of everything..he's "the *******".

    Couture is the total opposite.

I think all sports need more guys with a positive attitude like couture , fedor , sakuraba etc...

but at the same time...the sport needs their tysons , james toney , Ortiz , loud mouth ****s...because it adds drama and drives the fans crazy...

Well obviously not but its the end of Fedor's legacy and effectively the end of his meaningful career.

well , if it continues like this till the end of his career then yes...
but i don't think his career is over yet...
    and i'm expecting some surprises...

but i'll tell you what though...
even "if"...the guy dedicates the rest of his career , fighting "cans"...and even if he'll be eventually forgotten (years from now)...

    I know i never will...and i know a few others who've been following this sport won't too...

Because i can't forget the impact this guy had on the sport.
no matter how you look at it...
the vision of this beer bellied russian owning , pulverising any type of competition in his prime , and pulling some of the most insane , moves and technic...will forever be burned in my mind...

I'll always remember him as the tactical genius of mma.
"the reference". to this day , i've never seen anyone like him...
( now of course , that's just my point point of view )..i've seen many skilled fighters but like him ? never. and it's not even about pure skills or athletisim...i think it has more to do with his intelligence...one of the smartest fighter i've seen in this sport...
    incredible survival instinct ...
