He may be 6ft, but with a fight weight of 233 pounds, he'll lose a lot of strength fighting at LHW and won't be near his best.. 205 for a bodybuilding competition, but not a fight.

I'm with Scrula.. Not every man is built the same, just take a look at his frame.. He won't weigh 205 until he's an old man, and 185 is an April Fool's joke

Walks around 94kg at he cuts 8kg, but he is at a lower bf % then fedor when he starts to loose weight at the start of a camp.

But there are guys like Tibau who cut 30lbs of water.

To think he couldn't lose 20lbs by eating less over a long period plus losing whatever he had to in water to make 205 is crazy.

Considering Fedor has always been a heavyweight in the 220 region your claim is somewhat academic. Either way this ridiculous notion that 200lb plus men can easily loose 40lbs when they are natural heavys is ridiculous. Have you ever made weight? Do you know how hard it is as a 230lb+ man to loose that much weight and still compete at a high level? If you did you wouldn't make a statement like that. Making weight is simply not a matter of fact nor as easy or justified as some here are implying.

The weight cutting issue I'll leave to the experts. The point underlying it, though -- that Fedor is actually a small heavyweight with a lot of extra fat -- I agree with. When you take the amount of functional mass on his body into account, he's significantly smaller than most of his potential opponents.

Cutting weight is not the same as dropping weight......

I said he could make it I did not say he would be better for it I think at 185 he would have been drained I think he could have made the weight back in the day. However, he is smaller than a whole host of LHWs, and could make 205 easy if it was his goal to and he would utterly smash the vast majority of them.

Also the 200lb+ men thing easily loosing 40lbs... loads of WWs walk around around at or over 200lbs and make 170, and every MW is over 200lbs in the time between fights and almost ever LHW is over 220lbs

Over a full day probably like 30 hours. But yeah. Dropping 8kg is not a crazy amount. Like I said Tibau cuts like 14kg.

Doesnt mean anything. The assumption that you can loose 40lbs and perform at the same level is a ridiculous one. Some guys can do it. Many cannot. Fedor choose not. If he could have made 205 he would have opted to fight there. He has not and doesn't need to.

I have a hell of alot less meat round my stomach and I know for a fact I could easily go from 82kg to 70kg before I cut any weight.

Most people don't realise how much weight they are carrying. ALL THE TIME people tell me they think they need to lose 5kg or 1 stone but I tell them they'll be suprised how much fat is left when they do lose that weight. I tend to be right when I tell them that.
