I don't know how people call it dominating lol. He was beating him yea... dominating is Silva vs Franklin 2(not 1 because first one was just a crime).

AA could have been in there with a baseball bat.
He would still walk away with a silver medal.

You're right! It wasn't dominating! But he was winning and controlling stand up which is Fedor's strong suite. That was very surprising to many. But to me, I had a feeling Andre would look good. But I wasn't willing to bet he'd come out with his hand raised!

What? Fedors strong suit is the ground game, sumbissions and grappling. He started out as a Judo and Sambo practitioner.

Fedor is very good! And he deserves respect but to say Andre couldn't have won is a bit off. ANdre made a mistake in a fight he was controlling. Look.....Kiril...or baby fedor as they call him had a similar situation but the outcome was far different. Kiril was in there with Buentello a decent boxer with a good jab and nice hands....Buntello stuck to the game plan and ended up winning. Andre JUMPED to land a FLYING KNEE for christ sakes putting him Right in line with the over hand right. The punch was perfect but so was the flying Knee to help the KO happen. Andre could have done exactly what Bunetello did against Kiril and stuck to the game plan....Had it gone to the floor...who knows what could have happened but had the fight continued on the feet....Clearly that was in favor of Andre.

It's idiotic that it was surprising to many. Fedor does have strong stand up but its not his strongest asset. Far from it. AA has much better stand up and everyone should have known that before this fight. Same with Crocop.
I was kind of worried that Fedor spoiled people after his win over Sylvia.

Well.....Fedor is strong all around...but his striking has always been what is most feared. He's very capable on the ground or on his feet! That KO was crazy!

Your quite optimistic. I take it you haven't seen many of Arlovski`s fights? :think

Nah...I've seen almost all of Arlovski's fights. He's been a fighter who has improved a lot over the years and one that has showed me to have some of the best hands in MMA period. His chin has always been what caused him to loose! But this is MMA! The gloves and at HW anyone can be slept! Actually I think almost all of his losses were by KO aside from 2. doesn't look good for my arguement but I still think it has to do with being in there with guys that are over 6 ft and 220+ lbs. You don't think he'll have a chin that will be sustained in Boxing? I think the skills are there but you need a chin in the HW division in Boxing!

Punch resistance is almost natural in most cases. Andrei just doesn't have it. He`s blessed athletically for a big man but thats just not enough. The first shot Fedor hit him with put him to sleep.

You might be right.....but you gotta admit. That one and only punch Fedor landed was right on the chin and Fedor has heavy hands. That punch was thrown with some deadly intent!

No question. Fedor is a big puncher but not the type of puncher that KO`s guys with one shot. Maybe Andrei should be a model or a doorman instead. :yep

Really? I thought Fedor had One punch KO power...especially with those 4 oz gloves. But his KO record wouldn't indicate. So I'll take your word for it. how do you think Andre will do in boxing. That is his next move. I think he's got the skill..the chin will be the problem if what you say is true.
