Just might be a possibility. http://www.fightersonlymagazine.co.uk/news/viewarticle.php?id=6383 http://mmajunkie.com/news/22757/str...s-summer-return-interested-in-emelianenko.mma
I actually don't think it's a good move for Fedor unless he is comfortable at cutting 30lbs. I can't imagine a weight drained Fedor coming in and facing a Hendo who is comfortable at 205. Cutting that much weight before a fight if he hasn't done it before can be huge, I think it's too late to start the weight cutting game.
fedor hasnt got much muscle to begin with. cant see how he could get the weight off at this point without looking like a flabby skeleton.
You joking, the blokes got plenty of weight too lose and without draining himself either. If you can't find 20lbs there than there's no hope. This content is protected
the point is you need muscle to burn fat. when you lose weight you tend to burn a little muscle as well. hed end up looking exactly as he does now but lighter.
I question whether or not Fedor could successfully cut weight this late in his career - but Randy Couture was able to do it so I'm sure Fedor could pull it off. Dropping weight to test the waters is one thing - but cutting weight to fight a Dan Henderson is diving in deep!
I've been saying this ever since the Silva fight, where Fedor was so insanely outsized. Henderson is a Pride era ATG, Fedor is a Pride era ATG, and they've never fought. Who doesn't want to see how Fedor would look at 205? Plus it would be good to see Fedor being the naturally larger man for a change, he's been fighting monsters for years. This fight is a great idea, IMO.
Good fight but not now. Fedor isn't just coming off of 2 losses. People think he is shot. One win over someone like Kyle or Mo would make the fight interesting. Fedor has ALWAYS been a 205 fighter. I don't want to see happen to him what happened to Byrd. His sharpness was gone, he cut weight and got sparked.
I know he's the GOAT and everything but Id like to see him earn his shot at Hendo. Mainly to see if he can handle the cut and if he really is on a steep decline, nothing to do with skill, status ect. Perhaps it will help to motivate Fedor as well. Cutting weight then fighting Hendo straight off the bat is a big ask
I have no interest in this at all. Stupid fight with zero significance. So Fedor beats Dan? So what? What now? A career at 205 when he's been a heavy his entire career? And what about the GP as an alternate? Is that no longer on the cards?
There's no way Fedor will ever cut weight to 205. atsch I'm sick of hearing about this new breed of skilled monster heavyweights too and how much they've evolved blah blah blah. The truth is that Fedor is past his prime and I don't think hes that hungry anymore and hasn't been for a while. Prime Fedor would have won the SF HWGP and no one would be talking about his size and this so called new bread of super sized, super skilled heavies. :deal
I have always wondered about Fador's huge spare tire he carries around. I would vove to see this fight.
Imagine the overhand right's if this ever happened! I would be spilling my tea all over the edge of my seat!!! Lynchburg
